Agreed! 1 Corinthians there's a few passages from chapter 1 that sum this up nicely. Hath God not made foolish all the wisdoms of the world. Hath the wisdom of God, given the wisdoms of the world, not seen God? Does prayer not seem foolish to the wise? For God will make the wise man foolish, and the foolish wise. For the flesh will have no glory in the presence of God. This is a paraphrased version. If you read the whole chapter 1, though, it's all there.

I thinks it's more they want a deeper connection than just salvation I think alot of them are seeking different parts of wisdom in god. If you believe in christ you should be praying and I think it's good to learn how to actually pray where you connect with god on a spiritual level and not just a do this or complain about that level for level or I'm in trouble but genuinely developing a deeper relationship. And entering into the presence of god where it can be felt and manifested in you and not just mundane. That only happens if you talk and listen and receive it to god. And teaching heart posture amd how to go deeper into one selves for listening for that still voice is beneficial. When you read salms or proverbs david and solomon are laying their hearts out to god. When plams say the lord is my shepherd in whom i delight. If you actually felt or been on the presence of god you would u derstand how mich more profound and joyous the experience it. To have an explosion go off inside your entire body and to feel every cell every atom every particle every election and every neutron and the space in between just be completely and perfectly loved. With no condemnation and and no judgement. It's like the the sun being made of pure love and it going supernova inside of you but instead of heat everything is loved like every part the makes up you mind body and soul. Cause sometimes regular prayer is just going g through the motions so you gotta cultivate that prayer system amd the more you know the better intine you get with. First practicing and having intention of being on is presence and acually having a deep need for gods presence.The bible isn't just dos and don't it's also very spiritual.

That’s why we have Colossians, Timothy, Galatians and the epistles of John, because they addressed these heresies that the gnostics tried saying Jesus was the spark of knowledge of the gods, but Jesus is not that… He is the full Godhead

thank you so much. i was looking through the comments for someone to actually represent truth. it's always odd to me that people love to "love Jesus" yet don't actually care to hear the words he speaks and distort him to whatever sounds different and intriguing to them. i saw the first quote the video used and knew it would be a mess.

You know ALL the gospels are flawed and inaccurate, right? Translation errors and bias on so many levels. It's truly crazy to believe the synoptic gospel writers were somehow above bias, selective memory, error, or other imperfect human traits. The gnostic gospels are also deeply flawed, but equally as interesting. Take them **ALL** with a grain of salt.

@@HORNGEN4and you have examples i presume? and read the original language as well as have real historical context? I've seen plenty of people point out flaws, yet when they say what they actually are, it's always just the person not understanding what the verse means. if the gnostic gospels were true then Jesus would be a liar and not worth looking into at all

@ and i don't mean to sound snarky if i came off that way. a lot of errors i see people say the gospels have are things like the writers saying different things because of perspective. and even all of the things they point out are so minor. if you have THEOLOGICAL examples then that's something. but to say the gospel is false because of two different explanations of Judas' death... i don't see how that knocks it down to the level of the gnostic gospels. on the contrary there's certain areas of the gospels where they line up so well without saying that it's hard to deny that they match up. I'm thinking of a specific example that had to do with the 5000 and Passover at the time i think, but i can't remember rn.

@@tydiaz3921 many stories from the old testament were passed down verbally for generations before writing. Ever play the game "telephone"? Details get lost and altered no matter what. Jesus never wrote anything himself. Human memories are faulty and biased, and the apostles' are no exception. Not to mention the other contributors, who speculated further. These are just fundamental human problems to keep in mind when reading an account of ANYTHING that wasn't widely documented in real time. We're not even talking about the original translation errors from God to humans, and from language to language.
