St Peter′s Basilica in Rome is the centre of the Roman Catholic faith. Would the man, after whom it's named, approve of it‽ A fisherman by trade, he eventually gave up fishing to devote his life to a higher calling - being a fisher of men for the LORD!! Following the death & resurrection of Jesus Christ, Simon Peter became a missionary of the early Christian church. Never did Christ say to build his church on Peter! He was refererencing a large stone representing him. Peter was the small rock. I was catholic but they teach so man lies like praying to men instead of Jesus, like they can grant our prayers over God! Blasphemy!!!
