Jesus vs Yeshua - What is the "Hebrew Roots Movement" all About?

This is the first of the video series "The Hebrew Origins of our Faith". Right off the bat, we're addressing the elephant in the room regarding our Messiah's name. We're doing a historical study to provide a foundation of understanding for those of us that are staying loyal to the Hebrew name, and for those of us that are staying loyal to the English transliteration of His name. This is a foundational video that provides a perspective that will be essential in embracing when trying to understand the Hebrew origins of our faith. It's a perspective that acknowledges the beginning and initial intentions of our Heavenly Father & our Messiah (whom scriptures tell us is the same yesterday, today, and forever - Hebrews 13:8). It's a perspective that remains mindful of the ongoing call from the scriptures to not be entangled with pagan influences and to not participate in their ways. At the very least, it's a perspective that helps us understand how pagan influences can have an impact on our faith, and potentially alter how we live it out.

Thanks. Good study. Does Romans 13 also apply to accepting the translations which occurred under that time’s governing authorities? Can we lose the meaning if we have the indwelling Holy Spirit?

@@foreverendeavoramen333 If we have the Holy Spirit dwelling on the inside of us, He is the Spirit of Truth, so we can trust Him to lead us into all truth, and to discern what truth is (Yahuchanon “John” 16:13) - even in the midst of different translations, and different time periods.

Maybe you should look up the word son in greek and zeus in greek and try n add those together.

@@itsbeenwritten2518 that’s an interesting thought. The word for “son” in Greek is υιός pronounced yios (hwee-os). So when you put them together you get Yios-Zeus. And that has a similar pronunciation to Iesous so that’s definitely interesting!

@@TheRemnantsBibleStudy most likely early disciples wanted to give an understanding of who the Anointed of God was... so they choose to say the son of zeus (the highest of there gods). If im not mistaken they probably prayed about it before hand. Since many of the Israelite disciples which testified first got murdered, arrested, exiled and imprisioned... we were left with the understanding and words of those greeks and roman receivers of the faith of Yeshua...
