I am a reseller too as well as a Catholic. I do buy and sell religious paintings and figurines and do not apologize for it. You needn’t either 💕😊. I LOVE your videos.

Man, I just don't get why some think it's a no-no to sell religious art! Crazy Lamp lady had some give her such grief that she quit buying it for quite a while. It just doesn't make sense 😕, I mean if there were an issue with it, why do churches sell it, right?!

I'm Catholic and they sell all kinds of items from art, rosary beads, plastic statutes, pottery statutes, crucifixes, everything you can think of.
@marywatkins67983 жыл бұрын
Renee, your viewer's comment is technically incorrect. I know of no ruling to not sell Catholic religious art and items. You are fine in buying, or selling, yourself. I am a cradle Catholic and have seen them sold my whole life. Why, then, are there privately-owned religious shops that sell only religious items such as statues, crucifixes, rosaries, and books? The wine cracked me up! I love church sales run by church women.
@lynnmaupin-simpson12153 жыл бұрын
Catholic churches have always sold relics. If you watch Drew Pritchard in the UK he is always going to church and church affiliated schools to buy old,old stuff. Italy does a big business in selling old relics. I think people like to be reminded to be " good".
@Aliceops3 жыл бұрын
I believe that is correct. Maybe they were refering to items that have been knowingly blessed or objects of the cult such as a chalice. I do also sell religious items as a picker.
@leaholson23093 жыл бұрын
Renee, how do you hang the cardboard decorations without harming them? Is there a special tape?
@Sandra-or4ey3 жыл бұрын
It’s only if they have been blessed and if they are older they probably have been. Much like many things since Vatican ll many Catholics don’t understand this unless the are Traditional Latin Mass Catholics even many priest don’t know this. If it something that can burn you are to burn it otherwise it is to be buried. That being said I try to save religious ideas from thrift stores all the time, they never should be there. I would never sell them, I give them away to people I know will treat them with respect.

I am not even a practicing Christian anymore. I do love the ceremonies. When a Saint comes to visit I always go pay my respects. When I was a nursing student and worked nights , occasionally a special patient would have a Carmelite sitter. They have a nunnery close by and bake bread. ( they usually host the Saints when they visit). Bugs me they have taken a vow of silence.

That was some braid near your paper finds! The hat I'd say it's Robbin Hood's, since it has an arrow on it. I totaly loved the kid's picture frames, they're adorable! I had read that comment on selling religious items, and allthough I may be completely wrong as english is not my language, I think what bothered that viewer was that they were someone's and were used while praying etc, so they had become some how more "holy", if that makes any sense, but even then, the blame should be on the ones that gave them away, resellers only give them a chance to not be thrown away, but be enjoyed and respected by other people.

Love the church bells. Who knew St. Francis had a big butt? I hope the story is the real unfortunate story of the Salem witches. The last person burned at the stake for witchcraft was in a small town in Spain in 1968. The real story has to do with an unlikely conversation between 2 people and one was a pharmacist. Wet Spring, rye, mold= ergot. Poor, living on same street,mainly one family, Salem = witches. I hope I didn't spoil your read. Facinating no matter which story it is. The moral is this. People need to talk to each other. You never know what pertinent information they might have. Everyone, EVERYONE, has a story. There is no such thing as coincidence! Great rummage sale. Every church should have a clock tower. GPS is often wrong.
