I would like to thank our Heavenly Father for the grace to understand this teaching. Thank you Holy Spirit for using our mother Apostle Chiwenga and giving him the patience to explain the fundamentals of salvation. I have benefited immensely when I realised *Hebrews 6 does not start from verse 4 and end at verse 6* but that the love of God is demonstrated in the same chapter from *Hebrews 6:13-18*. Glory to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen 👏

With all due respect Apostle, I am a Christian and from my Christian learning, I am in total agreement with everything you preached or taught in this sermon. A lot of the time you wrongly quote those who identify themselves as Christians because of some who teach false teachings. The way you taught today is exactly how I was taught this topic of temptation, from reading the Bible as well as Christian preachers who preached to me. I acknowledge that you teach the true gospel and you are correct to rebuke some false teachers and our political leaders, but to think you are the first one to teach the true gospel, you are wrong. You are the first to be BOLD and speak it into the face of false preachers and our leaders but others know the true gospel too. It’s very important to be bold the way Talent Chiwenga does. God is using a suitable instrument in Chiwenga to make people aware of false teaching, so I acknowledge the role played by Apostle Chiwenga in our time. About the name CHRISTIAN, to me it doesn’t matter what the English speakers decide to call us, I know I am a follower of Jesus Christ. The English people were not there when the first church was established and the term Christian wasn’t invented then. The name Christian is NOT a translation from the Hebrew language. It’s a NEW WORD invented in the English language. Same with VaKristu which is also a new shona word invented to be used on people like JRM and myself. What is a NAME? A NAME is how people identify you. Everything must be identified or specified to avoid confusion. People were given the authority to name. If people tell me, my name is Tawanda, then that becomes my name whether i want it or not. If people see a certain group of people following a certain John, they may decide to call that group of people Johnnians. That becomes their name. Latter, when the English speakers heard about people who follow Jesus, they called us Christians. So I don’t mind being called a Christian. I know mapostori are also called Christians and to me it’s not a big deal. Even JRM members are called Christians by others although they don’t like it. They shouldn’t mind that and when Christians are called to something, JRM members must also respond to that call and simply distinguish themselves as a different type of Christians. Shona speakers heard about this faith a few hundred years ago and decided to call US VaKristu. Why should I assume the name vaKristu is the same one mentioned Acts 11:26. The Hebrew word in Acts 11: 26 is what they decided to call the disciples who started the first church. It’s not the same word as Christian or VaKristu. I acknowledge Apostle Chiwenga was called by God to speak boldly about false teachings and about bad leaders in our country. There is more awareness of false teachings because of apostle Chiwenga. But personally I have always been aware of some of these false teachers, including mighty people like Guti. I appreciate the apostle is human and sometimes he makes wrong assumptions. Before the apostle was born, people were being saved and true gospel was being taught. I am one of Apostle Chiwenga's followers on KZbin. I know he doesnt have to be perfect, but his message must be correct and indeed he preaches the correct gospel although he makes mistakes and wrong assumptions. These mistakes and wrong assumptions do not taint the word he preaches, but he must read this post i have made and learn something from someone else.

Simply because Apostle Chiwenga disagrees with James doesn't mean James is wrong. It's Chiwenga who's wrong this time.
@aezean56182 жыл бұрын
@@prolificchannel1366 You are right. When I said he is speaking the correct word somehow I was generalizing without focusing on what he said about James. I disagree with him on that verse. Preachers forget these English versions of the Bible are translations. Often the original meaning of a verse becomes distorted but the overall message of Christ remains intact. Preachers and apostles must be aware of that. On that verse the apostle is wrong

I didn't hear any issues with James 1v13. All that you said is correct. Preacher identified problem with James 1v14. If we're tempted due to our lusts then so was Jesus Christ similarly tempted. This cannot be correct since JC had no lust, yet he was tempted as per Hebrews 4v15. Temptations always start with the devil and no one is spared.

You are right on point. If we find fault with one verse in the book of James we have NO reason to believe the entire book at all. Next time he will find fault with Peter, Paul and John and eventually Christ. I think he's over stepped the mark. How can you correct the bible based on your personal interpretation?🤔🤔🤔 Something is not right.
@ellenchoga88462 жыл бұрын
Prolific writer, it is not about being on point, i am shocked that you can actually think that you have a point there! I am surely surprised! We have Satan’s deceptive words in the bible like Genesis 3:4, Matthew 4:3. My question is, are these scriptures from God as well? If not are they still part of the scriptures? Peter said something and Jesus said his words are not from God in Metthew 16: 22-23, why are Peter’s words in the bible if they are not inspired by God? Is it correcr that Peter’s words are erroneous and not from God because Jesus said so in Matthew 16:23? If Jesus had not condemend these words openly was it going to change the truth? If Peter could say wicked words condemnable by Jesus, did this phenomenon end when Jesus went up to heaven? My point is: You may not like Apostle Chiwenga, but he clearly cannot be found misfiring on doctrine by you, with this hollowness in your comments. Advice: listen more to his messages, if you have never heard what he said about James, it does not necesarily mean that he is wrong. It is not strange that you will learn new things from him, we all are learning from him, the man has been blessed with grace in depth in the word, and nomatter how you may shoot this point down, it will not fall
@prolificchannel13662 жыл бұрын
@@ellenchoga8846 I get your point. Chiwenga encourages people to read the bible in context. Genesis 3:4 is a conversation between two entities. This verse is not an individual addressing or teaching the church. Same with the words from Job's friends. The book of James is meant for teaching the church and therefore to be treated as truth from God. James 1:1 says "James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, TO THE TWELVE tribes scattered among the nations". This is not a conversation between 2 people with 2 different views. If James 1:13& 14 is wrong, what make you think the rest of James is correct? We should dismiss the whole book of James as not gospel. Next time Chiwenga will find fault with Paul's epistles and next time dismiss the whole bible. This is how cults begin. They start well then start start dismissing the bible and depend on the word of their leader as gospel. You need to be careful there. You are now on a slippery slope where you think Chiwenga's word is gospel not the other apostles. Greetings.

Deeply worrying sermon.🤔🤔. If James is wrong on one verse, it means he didn't know what he was talking about, and his message is not from God. Why then should we trust anything in the book of James or the whole bible? In other words the bible is no longer the standard but Apostle Chiwenga. This is what intellectual pride does. You will find fault in other people, then James, then Paul, then the bible and finally Christ. Careful, Apostle, Careful

Eh, you are both talking as fools! Tell me who gave Job’s friend Zophar words in Job 7? And before you foolishly tell me that it was God, then explain also why God condemned everything Job’s friends said to Job in Job 42:7-9? There are certain mistakes committed even by God’s servants, and they were not speaking under the inspiration from God, thats why Paul said he had spoken As a child, and when he became a man he disregarded childish things in 1 Corinthians 13:9-12. In Acts 21:18-26 James decieved Paul to disregard the faith and bowed down to the works of the law. Look for Apostle Chiwenga’s message tittled The Deception of the Little Children, and you will be educated on sound doctrine. You will not just find God’s utterances in the bible, you will also learn men’s mistakes, insdequacies, expediencies also in their walk with God. They are included in the bible to teach us to learn from their mistakes to follow God as learning children, and not go ahead of his directives.

@@ellenchoga8846 Firstly this business of referring to others as fools, is not good, and according to the bible, whosoever shall. say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire (Matt 5.22) so watoita mhosva inofanira kutongwa ipapa, kkkk. Now, we all understand that the bible does contain errors and mistakes committed by others so that we may learn from them. In Job, Zophar and friends were castigated for their mistake and its clearly outlined. The issue we have at hand here is about a teaching in the bible by Saint James, which you guys are outlining that it is totally false. My worry is that you are supposing that James is like a well which produces both good and bad water. Apostle Chiwenga has been on record dubbing other preachers, as false preachers on account of certain aspects of their teachings that may be due to purported misinterpretation of scripture (eg tithes). So according to yourselves, this effectively makes Saint James, a false preacher. ndopane worry yangu chete ipapooo hama.
