Morning Rell. I went to driving school for a few lessons. And all the tests etc are at the menkyo center. Good luck!

hey there, I am an ALT in Japan, and I am taking bike lessons in Nagano,, I am learning on the 400cc. I am struggling with slalom and crank. Thanks for all this information. Did you actually go to a driving school and take the course? or did you just do a one shot test? I heard you can get your lisence 2 different ways.

hey! glad to hear it was useful. yea i used the same driving school for my bike (from scratch) and for my car (to convert my foreign license). the driving school had a smaller course of their own which i could practice on. Once you get a hang of it it stays pretty easy I'd say, so don't get too down initially, you'll crack it soon enough for sure. what bike you looking to get?

@@flipi12 Thanks, i am actually wanting the new honda CB400. I dropped the bike about 4 times till now, and i have had about 10 lessons now. I have only dropped the bike in the crank. There are big cones andsmaller cones, so it feels like there are many obstacles, but i guess it's for our good and safety. Wow , you must have a BIG bike!!!? cool!! Where are you from by the ways? you have a european accent of some sort. I'm from Scotland.

@@carolinekido6125 I'm south african. Ah the Honda CB400 was suggested to me as well when I was looking around. I went with a Honda NC700X, nice commuter. Crank huh >< I went back and practiced it a few times each time i went as well. I went over the lines on the first turn normally. if i remember correctly it was a game-changer for me to put a little throttle into it as i adjusted my angle. if the bike is being pushed forward by the engine, it isn't falling sideways XD (simply put)

@@flipi12 hi there! wow, i was way off when i said i thought you were of European decent,,tee hee, sorry. By the ways, I just want to say that i passed my mikiwame today. I could do the crank, because i put more gas into it, a liitle more speed, and i was able to do it! thanks. I can't imagine driving 700cc, now that must be HEAVY! even the CB 400 is heavy to me,

@@carolinekido6125 ooo congrats ^^ good to make progress. ah my bike is bottom heavy so you only feel the weight when it starts falling over really.. then suddenly it's a big struggle XD but otherwise it feels real smooth.
