I like the idea, it seems well built. I’d personally use a carbon filter

Dust control is becoming more and more of a discussion and focus with clients. Great that you guys always focus on best practices. My wife has a genetic lung condition, so air quality is something I’m even more concerned about. This is such a cool product. Too bad it’s not available in Canada.

Looks similar to the Stratus (which does not seem to exist anymore) - thanks for letting us know this exists and the review!

@A Concord Carpenter. Thanks Rob for your review of the JET AFS-850 Mobile Air Filter. If used correctly on the job site as a integrated part of dust management it would be good. I don't know how much dust remains on surfaces when using this air filter along with dust collection at the power tool sources (saws, sanders, oscillating tools, and say SDS drills). I've seen people tout running HEPA air scrubbers on their job sites but their filters are visibly filthy and are never cleaned.

There is still dust on surfaces in the work area… like you mentioned it’s part of a larger system

@@ConcordCarpenter Thanks for replying. Good to know that it's not perfect but still a part of a system. Managing expectations. Have a great day.

Fantastic video!! Thanks so much. You gave prices on replacement filters, but from what your videos show, you can just vacuum the pleated filter and wash the outer one, thereby not needing to buy replacements. Is that correct? Also, I'd presume that the carbon filter would be an item you'd have to replace, not just wash? Thanks
@ConcordCarpenterАй бұрын
@@conradstevenson5931 yes but eventually they’ll get too dirty and need replacing

Hmm good 1! Which one would you recommend. This one, The hilti air scrubber or the festool air scrubber? Great vid as well!
@ConcordCarpenter2 ай бұрын
@@elitesupremecleaning are use the Hilty air scrubber when we’re doing nasty demo work. I would use this for interior carpentry not so nasty, dusty condition.

@@ConcordCarpenter got it! We typically have a lot of post-construction projects located in NYC and the construction crews out here don’t use a lot of protection so the dust is literally so thick in the air after their work is completed. During cleaning i was thinking of buying the hilti air scrubber to clean the air while we work and to provide an extra layer of protection & peace of mind our clients. Thanks again greatly appreciated!
@ConcordCarpenter2 ай бұрын
@@elitesupremecleaning one thing the Hilti allows is the ability to create negative pressure in the room, (assuming you seal room) which keeps the dust from traveling elsewhere. You’ll need the exhaust hose to vent out a door or window

I use a 4000 cfm 16” fan that blows into four 20x25” furnace filters that are taped together at the corners and rated for fine dust. Guarantee it works better than this. Plus I can use the fan when needed. 120$ plus filters which I charge to the client.
