Sounds great to me. I grew up in the 60s and 70s and this was the kind of sounds you heard a lot on a lake. Remember most of the wood boats like a Century or Chris Craft had V8s in them. Some of the Centurys had Holman Moody prepared 427 FE Ford Motors in them. They would scream for a mahogany boat.
@scottmacpherson18524 жыл бұрын
Its the giant wakeboarding boats that cause the problems on smaller to medium lakes. These boats, monster V8 2 strokes hopped up and screamin Yami, Merc and OMCs V6s have little wake. No wake, no problem. Its pleasurecrafts like these that got me into boating as a young kid. Amazing stuff.

Common jet boat owner dock terminology checklist: 1) Horsepower = always tell everyone it's 2 to 3 times more HP than what it really is. 2) Exit the dock area A.S.A.P. and create a smoke screen while burping the throttle to mimic blower surge before anyone realizes that's only a tunnel ram and not a blower. 3) Speed = always tells everyone it goes twice as fast as it really does (or 100 for most) 4) always plane off wide open on the limiter with nozzle trimmed full up as the noise, rooster tail and high RPM's will wow and distract everyone at the dock before they realize that while it sounds like you're going mach 3 that you're really doing 40. 5) Always have a good excuse at the ready when you get smoked by some random bassboat.

This is impressive! The man climbs into a high horsepower boat, regardless of how high horsepower, has his child in the boat with him. Neither of them have life, jackets, helmets, or any other personal protection equipment. Most lakes these days, even eight years ago, have posted speed limits somewhere, which are put up for a reason there is no emergency Chase boat in the event of an equipment failure crash. What is demonstrated in this video is senseless careless and reckless operation of a high-powered boat, breaking almost every rule the states fishing game and water authorities. Respectfully request all boaters to have.

A diverter is for trimming the boat out during plain. He did hit it little too soon, the faster you push the water out better the performance...but it's a quick jet but not 950hp more like 650hp
@michaelshrader51392 жыл бұрын
He was taking off for show, not for performance. It was trimmed to generate a tall rooster tail and make a lot of sound, just for grins. ps. Jet pumps don't cavitate if they are set up correctly of course, too much pressure in the pump bowl prevents it. I've owned my jetboat since 1089.

I have owned lots of these boats,and they are very versatile! I have several boats now 2 that are v drives ! But the jet is more family friendly for the wife! All the boats have mufflers and are not so loud! If you ever get a chance to ride in one do it! Just make sure the guy driving is sober and a experience driver! And always wear a life jacket ,you can come out of these boats in a instant!

There sure are a lot of people with this sort of boat on youtube. Small, low, skiff-like hulls with no free-board and a great big engine running headers straight to the air. All they ever seem to do is roar up and down in front of each other on dead flat water. Tough luck for all the people who didn't go there to listen to un-muffled engines roaring.

Mine always gets compliments from people though. Can't take it anywhere without people coming over to see it up close and ask questions. I do not start the engine after sunset though, as it is rather loud even with mufflers in the pipes. These are fun boats, not hum-drum boats! ;-P

Nice boat but I must say not very responsible First no life vest for either one Second no restraints and last but not least the poor little kid would have been a projectile if the boat had run into trouble. Pretty Dumb all the way around
@Zteffe6665 жыл бұрын
Life vest YES! I'd even go as far as to say wear a helmet, cause water is about as nice as concrete at that speed! But no restraints tho. If you crash and get knocked unconscious, you'd possibly drown if you're strapped in ;)

Don’t restrain yourself into a boat, you drown if capsize/crash and are knocked out or injured arms and cannot unbuckle; getting thrown out is your froend

This could be said for EVERY BOATER! go to ANY waterway and you will see your issues on every boat! Oh..... I'm offended!!!!
