Jet Mills are often used in fine size reduction applications of hard or abrasive materials down to D97 = 2 µm or when high purity and minimal contamination is required. There are many specialized variation of 'The Jet Mill' that include fluidized bed jet mills, spiral jet mills, opposed jet mills.
