Wait. Now I remember, there's a 100+ tricks combo achievement on the PC version, it's called "That's How We Grind", if I'm not mistaken. This, with only 50 tricks, is for the tutorial, completing the tutorial gives you the achievement "Training Wheels", and the tutorial asks you to do a 50 tricks combo. xD

Patience, my friends; to wallride jump high and move the arrow towards the surface, its easy after a few tries and soon you'll be doing 70 or 80 tricks combo after 30 minutes

I haven't figured out yet, but i suspect the control in response to the stick is the same; however, Dreamcast stick has a massive hardware difference - you can feel the 8 major directions, deviating from them is possible, but requires more finger force. The reason is that Dreamcast controller didn't use the standard dual potentiometer stick, it had a force rig built on top of a 4-way magnetic field sensor. Expensive stuff! However, the game was always very hard.

Lol no it wasn't. Played it to death and back on the Dreamcast, now the HD version will never leave my PC. Good point about the Dreamcast stick though. Best controller ever

The controls, anyway, were always a problem in JSR. The PS3 is probably the worst version, although if you try to play it with only a keyboard on Steam, is unplayable.

I don't understand how this has negative votes. These controls are wonky as hell. I'm holding straight up on the stick and he keeps going to the right in the air, missing the grind, after I spent 5 minutes just trying to get to that point because the game only lets me wallride the billboard 1% of the time.

This most frustrating thing about trying this is that I've been able to do each section successfully, but when I try to put it all together, nothin' doin'. Either I don't have enough momentum at certain part, or I go to jump or dash-jump, and even though I know damn well I pushed the buttons, the controls don't respond, or after I jump when I go to land either the stick is too sensitive, not sensitive enough, or the camera angle changes right as I'm trying to line up. Can I get an "amen" here?

Apparently the Dreamcast version was awesome, but these HD controls are wanky as Hell. There's a difference between "difficult" and "annoying". It shouldn't take statistical probability for me to land a move correctly. Any tips? Push the stick in the direction harder/lighter? Tap instead of hold? Jump when you see the "insert landmark here"? I've tried everything. A game is meant to be enjoyed, not to piss you off.

@@mrcactuar8515 If you play it on PC with a keyboard, forget it, it's going to cost you a lot, I play on PC emulating the Dreamcast version with a controller, this game is purely to play with a joystick.
