gotta love the 68. my first ride and true love was a 68 long bed with a small cam'd 327. i miss her alot. kudos to all that own a 68.

This truck cans still do everything, it's just a little loud and burns more fuel... It has a new purpose now,anyway- It makes MOST people happy! -g

I made a gearbox that bolted to the output turbine and dropped down about a foot so the trans would be lower and fit where the original one was. I reduced the output speed by about 20% and added a rotor and caliper to the front side and hooked that to the clutch peddle so i could stop the output while putting it in gear.

I made a gear box to go between the turbine and a 700R4. A friend who owns a machine shop helped with the gearbox and I did all the install and fabrication. Sorry the reply took so long i don't check this very often. I am in Northern CA. You can see more info in the Aug. Hot Rod.

@vallebuilder it's a helicopter so it has an power or output turbine with a gear shaft. I made a gearbox and adapter to hook it to a 700 R GM trans.

@TCausey21 Sorry for the late response. I do not know how fast it will go. Not sure I want to got very fast in a 68 PU. And it to expensive to repair. I just cruise most of the time. Its sure gets the looks when people hear it.
