Formerly the Bombardier CSeries, the A220 is one of the newest planes to join the JetBlue fleet and is the replacement for their aging E190s. These regional aircraft have been outfitted with the airlines "Phase 2" interior and it's very impressive. Originally, JetBlue planned to begin passenger service in June, but they decided to accelerate the rollout to April 26th. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make in inaugural flight, but I managed to book a ticket a few day later from Boston (BOS) to Tampa (TPA). Enjoy!

Brilliant Trip Report! The A220 is an amazing aircraft to fly on compared to other types. It’s so relaxing and spacious. I’ve flown it once with AirBaltic in Europe and loved it. Although the cabin that JetBlue have installed takes it to another level. I plan to visit the USA, when things return to normal and will definitely be putting this Aircraft and Airline on my must fly list. ✈️

Bombardier did an amazing job developing the a220, but it’s in safer hands now as airbus, sad that bombardier exited the commercial aviation industry but also nice to see their engineering live on in other manufacturers

Thank you for a great review ! I've flown in the jetBlue E190s, but not yet in an A220. I really like the E190s because of the 2+2 seating, and air of spaciousness. Whilst the new A220s are more fuel efficient, the 2+3 seating spoils it for me, as it looks very cramped. It is very reminiscent of the DC9/MD80 ! No doubt the new plane will be a huge success, and I wish jetBlue well .

I’ve flown the A220 several times with Delta from Laguardia to Dallas and by far, the most comfortable domestic flight I’ve flown so far. I wasn’t too focused on the amenities because I was either looking out the window, wacthing a movie, or sleeping. That said, I could only imagine how great the A220 is with JetBlue, just on their outstanding service alone. I love the A220 so much, that I actively try to book a flight specific to the A220 (if possible for the route). It’s gaining popularity with airlines and customers, so maybe it’s a matter of time before they use them on more routes as they phase out older aircrafts. If you ever get a chance, DEFINITELY try to book a flight on a A220, I HIGHLY recommend it.

This is what Southwest should have used to replace there aging 737 fleet instead of the troublesome MAX's. A whole new fleet of Airbus A220-300's. Just a beautifully quiet yet powerful regional aircraft and around the same size as a older generation 737-700. They could have easily replaced there 700's with these A220-300's. I truly hope more US based airlines use these gorgeous planes for there short haul routes.
