From what I remember the Marines use the Coleman stoves. Not sure why, but I'm sure it's a logistical reason behind it. You and I know how good those Colemans are though! Tough bit of kit and pretty easy to do maintenance on. ATB

Great review, is this set up ok to use for heating soups, etc, or is it just only for water?

It will work great for heating up soups as well as general cooking when you use the pot stand attachment.
