Wow! 👍 Very in-depth tutorial. Wil be using some of these features I was not even aware of!! A request for future video would be to go in-depth on all things "cached". It is of outmost importance to build fast websites but I hear that caching plugins don't always play nice with JetEngine. Maybe a best practices video when it comes to caching with JetEngine going into the inner workings. Like when you turn on caching, when does the cache gets reset, can you control that? Etc... Great video. I'm more of a designer than a coder and my initial perception is that the jet engine is very versatile, but it seems to me that they complicate the simplest things a lot without need. Especially in the Query Builder it is disappointing to get pagers and filters working with advanced queries. So far I haven't found a way to do it :-(

Issue is I would like to display items (either listing 1 or listing 2) according to latest post time first, of which order can be like item from listing 1 ( posted 10 mins agp), item from listing 2 ( posted 1 day ago), item from listing 2 ( posted 3 days ago). May you suggest the query setting 🙏🏼

Hi. Three options: 1. Use merge query and make it into one listing grid. 2. Query both of the listings into one query. 3. Use Listing Grid injections to inject the second listing into the first. And order both by date. (This one may not work as well as the first two.)

Hi Tobi, Thanks so much for your super helpful video! It’s already been a huge help for me. If you have a moment for a quick question. How can I display the labels from the JetEngine glossary? I’ve also tried with the simulated glossary, but I just can’t figure it out. I simply want to display a text value in a button without lowercase letters and hyphens. If you have an answer to this, my long search would finally be over! Thanks again for the awesome video!
@tobisalami
@tobisalami 3 ай бұрын
@@JL-qz7qb hi. You're welcome! Try this: %jet_engine_field_name|meta-field|field_name% Replace "meta-field" with the meta field key You should use that macro inside of a Dynamic Field widget when you toggle on "Customise field output" like so: %%jet_engine_field_name|meta-field|field_name%% Let me know if it works for you. Ideally, what you have in your "value" should be what you intend to show in the front-end. Not what you have in your label.

@@tobisalami Thanks so much for your help! I’ve managed to get it working with the simulated glossary, so now I can display values that include special characters, spaces, and uppercase letters, and they still work perfectly with JetSmartFilter. From what I can tell (as a non-expert), this doesn't seem possible with regular glossaries-they don’t seem to be filterable in the same way. Anyway, thanks again!
@tobisalami

@@JL-qz7qb you're welcome. And yes! It's difficult to filter the regular glossaries because the way they're stored makes querying them very much so.

Hey Tobi, thank you so much for this. I've learned so much already. I recently came across a little hurdle and hoping you'd be able to help. I started re-creating the Glossaries into repeaters, but now I realised that I can't use them in JetFormBuilder. Unlike the Metaboxes where you can load your terms from Query Builder instead of Glossary, JetForm builder doesn't give you this option, so I can't actually load repeater items that I queried in the query builder into JFB Select/Checkbox/Radio field. Any ideas how to go about this?
@tobisalami
@tobisalami 2 ай бұрын
You're welcome. You can get this done by Querying the repeater using a regular Repeater Query. Then, use the syntax I showed in this video (kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWTJeJh6d7-onNEsi=X99ZpwHbhsHfGIU3) to fetch your values in.

Hi, I watch the video and tried to replicate de Woocommerce Cart items. I created the query has you did, then I tried to hide the button ADD TO CART if the item is in the cart. unfortunately it doesn't work... The query shows me the 123 items in the previews, only one when I add a specific product. So it works well, but on the front-end the footer popup the buton ADD to cart totally disappear on every product page. either if the product is in the cart or not in the cart. The button stays hidden even if the cart is empty. But thank you you did a great job with Query builder !
@tobisalami
@tobisalami 3 ай бұрын
Hi. You're welcome! And thank you for watching. About your request, I believe it could be a cache issue. Can you try disabling cache and trying again? Remember that when the query is cached, it keeps its last query ready to be used again without checking the database for updates. And it does this for a while. Maybe a few hours or a day. So, adding items to the cache and expecting immediate change to the query when the cache is in use, is not quite possible. Do you understand?

Tobi, question. So on the Show or hide the widget content based on Queries, how do you get that widget to show again? In my case: I would want it to show when someone clicks on a visual field from a smart filter to show the hidden listing grid. So with another query tied to the listing grid click? Thanks!~
@tobisalami
@tobisalami 3 ай бұрын
@@billlewis22 hey! I'm not sure I understand the question. If a section is hidden using dynamic visibility, it won't exist on a loaded page such that it can be acted upon. So, using smart filters to try to show a section hidden using Dynamic Visibility won't quite be possible (unless that section is within a listing grid).

Please: is it possible for me to create something like this with jet engines: i created a multi vendor store where vendor can create products. Now i add new cpt ( event). This cpt is the place and time they want to sell their product, which also can be also created from the front end from by each vendor. But the main thing is there will be a relationship between the product (child) and the event (parent). And when creating the event on the front end they should be able to do this and also the only product they can add to their event should be the one they created. If it is possible how will i go about it

@tobisalami 3 ай бұрын
Hi Damilola. It's possible, yes. But explaining it here via text will be difficult as it is not a straightforward setup. I have taken this down as a suggestion for a future video, though. However, you should keep in mind that it will be difficult, natively, at this time, to manage variable products in the frontend with JetFormBuilder. If you are managing simple products, it is fairly easier to handle.
