The Podcast is Back! | EquiTheory #88

Wow wow wow! This has been a LONG time coming! But here we are, back and better than ever! EquiTheory is returning to the podcasting realm with episode 88 and is now all new + improved for KZbin.
In this comeback episode, I dive into all of the life changes and perspective shifts I've faced over my break from the podcast as well as updates on the horses. Beyond that, I make some exciting announcements about what you guys can now expect from EquiTheory -such as merch, the EquiTheory.com website update, the fact that the podcast is now available on KZbin!

Double posting to say that i loved listening to podcasts about training updates/stories of your own personal horses/client horses b/c i learn so much from the detailed story telling and analysis - plus it really shows how the rubber meets the road of the science of R+ vs the practical application.

I’m glad you’re back! I love that you bring ✨aesthtics✨ to the horse world. I also wanted to say that something I always come back to when I try to problem solve a situation that I think the solution is true in everything, is always that IT DEPENDS. One training method, feeding program or hoof program works for every horse the same way. Something that always pops up in my mind in my equine science studies: “The trick is not in knowing what to do, rather in knowing when to do it. Everything works sometimes, but nothing works every time. If something fails on even ONE horse, then it must be considered a tool, not a rule!” ~ Cindy Sullivan

YAY IT'S BACK!!!! So so thrilled to hear you're putting more focus on filling your life with what makes you feel fulfilled and enriched. Selfishly also so so happy the podcast is back!! I'm a nurse with an hour commute to my hospital, I listen to EquiTheory on the drive home to help me unwind from stressful shifts and can't WAIT for more episodes!! I used to force myself out to the barn to ride, even when my mental health wasn't great because I felt I HAD to, anything less was "lazy" and I felt guilty for not doing something I claimed to love. You have totally shifted my perspective and have made me realize that it's OKAY to take breaks or just enjoy your horse's company, with no expectations, and that it doesn't make you any less of an equestrian. Thank you for being so authentically you, so so happy you're back and are doing better. Love from Canada

Ah dude I cannot express enough how much that means to me. That is why I do the podcast the way I do it. The relatability aspect is sooo important because there's SO much shame in horse sport. If everyone was just ~honest~ there might not be as much shame🙃

I'm so glad the podcast is back! I'm a children's book illustrator, and I always enjoyed listening to these while I work; it really helps with my focus. I've also turned my passion (drawing) into work, and it is really difficult to just sit down and do it these days. At least these podcasts keep my brain occupied while my hand goes on autopilot. The sound quality is great, and I love your little studio corner as well. Can't wait to hear more! 🐴

I didn't even really know what R+ was before you started using it! And now my mare is partially trained using R+ and I find it so cool. And I also like seeing traditional trainers give me weird looks when I pull out my target stick and clicker ;)

As far as your new pony will you expose her to different things and allow her to choose what she wants to kinda like you did with Zoe? Meaning if she wants to be ridden, jump, not jump, pleasure, etc or if she wants to just hang out? You mental health is just as important and your horses.
