A nice follow up to your book set video. Tull is doing the best job with reissues in my experience. I’m not buying vinyl anymore but I would buy this if I did.

The new remix is "Top Dog" . Like how they enhanced the church bell sections and everything else . The guy did a good job and maybe in retrospect what the band might of wanted back in the day.

The Bruce Soord mix is much better, trouble I find with most of Ian's more recent mixes/production the sound is rather flat, and you don't really get the nuances of the various instruments and the whole tone of the albums is sterile from this album going forward to TAAB2, Homo Eraticus with limited band and not having the more complex orchestration of older Tull works, The new 2024 mix is much better. Just got the coloured vinyl and it is the most weird coloured vinyl I have ever seen being a pearlescent vinyl, very nice for a Winter album. Wishing you and yours a very happy Yuletide Barry and look forward to seeing you in 2025, in my 60th year 'cough' as I turn sixty a fortnight after xmas and I will look forward to partaking in wet January and Soggy December this year So as I raise a glass of mead I will say cheers Barry.

Hi Barry, black is coloured vinyl, clear vinyl is pure vinyl. Appreciate you’re not an audiophile, so for awareness, companies like MoFi & Analogue Productions who manufacture some of the beat quality LP’s money can buy are on proprietary clear vinyl. The black comes from adding carbon to increase durability. Once you finally secure a turn table, this will become more apparent. And should you fancy a recommendation for a good English made TT, feel free to co tact me.

Forgive me if I've missed something, I'm no Tull fan, but isn't 'Birthday Card at Christmas' a tad similar to the Greg Lake classic 'I Believe in Father Christmas' You may know more being a Tull man?
