I agree, this is one of the best. It's also the one I had to look for the hardest. At least for a reasonable price. Still in the 3 digits but less than half of the rest of the offers I found. Don't regret it. Thanks again for bringing these to my attention about a year ago, Phil.

I've been gradually watching all your TULL box set videos. I've only got eight of the sets myself, plus I've ordered the new Broadsword Monster set from Burning Shed (way cheaper than amazon and a free Broadsword beer mat!). The ones I still need are the ones that are about a zillion pounds on ebay and discogs, but they should be due for a repress in 2024/2025/2026. And they are Stand Up, Aqualung, A Passion Play, War Child and Minstrel in the Gallery. Of course I've got about 3 or 4 versions of the albums already but these box sets are mandatory for TULL freaks like me. What was I doing between 2012 and 2017? I don't know but I should have been scooping up these box sets!

Sadly Stand Up and This Was were never released here in Malaysia. They only got some traction here after Aqualung. The gatefold sleeve of Stand Up is stupendous! I will hunt for this 1969 album. Love you Phil.

If you dyed your hair black, you could have a future as a Roy Orbison tribute act, the shades make a difference. Great album and great review, as always. I have seen J. Tull probably about 35 times since the mid eighties, and along with Black Sabbath , they are my 2 favorite bands of all time, so it is always good to see something related to both. I do own a colourized T-shirt of this album with the back cover on the reverse, I collect various T-shirts especially when I like the artwork (I would love to have one of the cover of Black Sabb.'s "Born Again"). I am looking forward to the rest of your series...Cheers

Come on Mr Anderson, these sets should still be available, please get your record company to get them back out there. I can understand one-off limited edition box sets disappearing after a few months but this is a whole back catalogue of book sets that fans should still be able to buy rather than a few sharks making a hundred pound selling their second copies on a well known selling site!

Hugely enjoyable Phil. I have got the later few sets plus Aqualung but missed out on several earlier ones, not sure why or how but possibly thinking "I'll get that in a few weeks" then finding they'd gone. Maybe Now Spinning can get a campaign going!. I did write to the company I thought manufactured them but the reply was "it's not us!", so utterly confused as to who is responsible...

Stand Up for me is a timeless classic. Music and artwork perfect. Released when bands often didn't put hit singles on. ie Living in the past. Which of course gave it's name to one of the first archive albums (vinyl). Fabulous cover, book and all the a and b sides of the singles plus live and album tracks. Worth a review on it's own. Great video again.

It was only when I got this set that I learned that GC went to the same school as me. The desks were those ancient affairs with lift-up lids and holes where you put your inkwell. I quite possibly sat at the same desk that Glenn once sat at. Me and rock ‘n roll, eh.....:)

I love just about everything Tull has done.I've seen them at least 25 times since '73.These box sets are awesome.I guess the nexet one is going to be Broadsword and the Beast but I also hope they do Crest Of A Knave with some visual of their tour.

Hi Phil, are the live tracks on the Audio DVD from the 2010 package longer than the CD album. Discogs states that they are.

@@FuturePast2019 Yea, I am aware of the interview, but the track timings for not match for the songs. Dharma For One is just over 13 minutes on CD and over 23 minutes on the DVDS. I suspect the listed timings on Discogs may be errors. Dharma for One on the Living In The Past Compilation is around 13 minutes too.
