What a contrast to today's "musicians", he is intelligent, articulate and gifted and wasn't spotted on a TV talent show...

My son was head chorister at Bath Abbey when they sang with Jethro Tull - everyone had a really great evening!

It is so refreshing in this era of unbridled greed to see an esteemed performer take this charitable approach. Mr. Anderson sets a wonderful example for all in this regard. I was very fortunate to recently see his December 2023 show in York. It was very tastefully done, and I was quite moved by it.

Yes, agree… and as it happens I was there at the York Minster concert too… travelled from Australia to see it… as part of a wider UK holiday. Concert was magnificent! ♥️♥️♥️

Thank you for a great interview with a favorite of mine. Ian Anderson, I can listen to him talk for hours one of the greatest and most intelligent musicians ever in my opinion.

Got my ticket for December 12 '22, just hoping that snow doesn't stop the Bath Abbey proceedings!

Having been on a concert (again after many years) a few weeks ago in Mannheim I really appreciate this interview. I like the music but I like him talking and his attitude even more. A well spoken man, intelligent an with a very „healthy“ view on many things happening around the world. Please keep being the 🦩

I really appreciate Ian contributing to the cathedrals. They are an amazing effort by humans that are non-corporate, and non-military ... a pretty amazing thing that people have done. Has he ever done anything for Notre Dame? Thank you Ian!

I was privileged to attend the Peterborough cathedral show when he had Marc Almond and the American guy who now has pasta sauces produced in his name as guests. It was a wonderful start to the Christmas festivities and I loved every moment of it. One of the highlights of my life.

Interesting but I thought the church was very wealthy? I am confused.
@michaelmclarney19942 жыл бұрын
I think the church is wealthy as an entity but individual parishes often struggle. As a Catholic I know the Vatican is very wealthy but it doesn't trickle down to individual parishes as they often are cash poor and have to borrow from the diocese and pay back, with interest too, I shouldn't wonder. I think the same is true of the C of E. I hope this helps?

Please don't compare the Isle of Wight to Woodstock... 1969 anyway. They were not alike.
