I love your responses and frankly you make me jealous because I am a Turk born and raised in Australia and I love our foods and miss the terribly , the sausage you ate was Beef it’s called Soujouk. BTW it’s forbidden to eat blood in Islam so you’ll never find Muslims serving you anything made from blood.

The cheesy thing you ate in breakfast is Muhlama. It is made with butter, corn flour, water (or sometimes milk, I use half and half) and a special type of cheese. It is originated from the black sea regions of Turkey. The meaty sausage in the breakfast is called sucuk. It is ground beef with lots of spices and garlic. It is fermented for a few months under sunshine or cold storage units (both prevents forming of bad bacteria). It is one of the most delicious things you can eat (if it is a good quality one of course).

Iskender actually invented the idea of an upright vertically rotisserie, because he said with the horizontal ones all the juices are lost. He was the first in the world to cook meat on a vertical upright rotisserie. It originates from the city of Bursa, which also the former capital city of Turkey.

guys you are awesome. the soup you drink "işkembe" and "kelle" are late night soups. its kind a amused me when u drinked it for breakfast cus we drink it to finish the night. like they are both 4 am soups, after the club before going back home, we drink them to get sober. I'm going to watch ur 1st video but I hope you wont leave Türkiye without eating "kokoreç, "midye tava" and "midye dolma". Also I saw you walking through "Yanyalı Fehmi Lokantası" in Kadıköy. You should try there too. "Kanaat Lokantası" in Üsküdar and "Hacı Abdullah Lokantası" in Beyoğlu/İstiklal Street are places where you can eat traditional menus. We dont eat meat, kebap and döner everyday. Those are places where you can find what locals eat in their everyday life.

A pleasant change from so many pretentious vloggers making it all about them, you’re both super-informative, entertaining and focus on all the most traditional street food. Keep up the good work 👏🏼 One question if I may - I’m super adventurous food-wise, so I was wondering if you tried the lambs head? If so, would you recommend it?

Really? The Turkish nation lives only with history! This is why we are a backward country! The tsrihi will come to believe the stories of the Lydians to find the money! this is enough geography history knowledge to make you study. you can't even guess, because you will learn from school ;) so we got access to a lot of different dishes! Because the most important law of life is to live with delicious and many meals in a short period of life! for example i live in lykya/fethiye, formerly levissi; Do you know what "wingardium leviossa" in harry potter means? You won't be able to take it down either, Turks and Greeks deceive the world, that's all. with philosophy and prayer.

Turkler not edinmez, sadece roman yazarlar!

Hi guys I hope you are really enjoy of your Turkey trip. I would like to add something about food. First one is köfte i mean meetball. Meetball culture comes from Balkans. And Balkan countries ruled by Ottoman empire over 500 years so it is so normal. Nobody imitates food. And the second one is about Turkish breakfast. The last bread which is Ivana ate is not a Bread :) we called it sigara ( cigarette(its because of shape)) börek so its a kind of a börek which is made from yufka(some kind of pastry dough but its shape like a wafer) ,cheese and that green herbs is parsley. We put chees and parsley in the pastry and roll and fry. :) Lastly , I would like to add that lahmacun invented before pizza :)

It's a shame that they always tend to resemble an authentic Turkish food to a famous foreign dish like "Turkish pizza" "Turkish ravioli", which I hate it. Lahmacun is not a pizza, as well as mantı is not a ravioli, and lokma is not a donut. They think that such imitative namings may attaract more attention of the tourists but it's a disrespectful attitude to your own values.

You can pay with cash or credit card. It is up to you. In Turkish culture it is common to tip the restaurant staff but it is not mandatory, it is just a good gesture of you to tip the workets in return of their good service and hospitality. If you are not content of their service you are free not to tip.
