You haven't been to any really nice places. The first place you go puts the grocery items in front of you, there is no effort involved. Even the bagel seller on the street prepares a better breakfast.

What makes the Turkish tea different is the ritual of drinking it basically. Turkish tea is essentially black tea (grown in Northern Turkey) but what makes is unique is the way we brew and the unique glasses used when serving (The glass you used is not the best way to experience it). The feeling and texture changes dramatically when you use those unique glasses, and the thinner the glass the better it feels. On top of these since we like small chats in Turkey, it is a great tool to keep yourself busy in a way in long conversations so it is tied closely to to the culture as well.

@atillakaragazi838
@atillakaragazi838 Жыл бұрын
@@A.L.P.D. They are kind of similar but not the same. Muhammara uses grilled red pepper and pomegranate molasses. Acuka includes significantly more amount of garlic. Hence, muhammara has a more peppery taste while acuka has more garlicy taste. Also, textures are a bit different. Acuka is very smooth like a paste, muhammara is much grittier and chunkier. Also, they originated from different regions. Muhammara is a specialty of Southwestern Turkiye, Syria, Lebanon and Northwestern part of Iraq whereas acuka ic made and consumed more in Eastern Black Sea region of Turkiye and Georgia. That is why acuka frequently contains hazelnuts, but muhammara has no hazelnuts in it. Finally, acuka is consumed usually as a breakfast item, in contrast muhammara is served either as a side dish to lunches/dinners or as a meze (for alcoholic beverages, typically raki/arak).

Kahvalti, traditional Turkish breakfast, can be eaten any way you want. Mix sweet and savory, creamy and crispy, etc..to your own preference. It's usually a spread of 15-20 small dishes with olives, cheese, yogurt, honey, fruit, jam, sausage, tomatoes, cucumber and more with different types of breads as you had. The baked eggs are probably menemen with tomatoes, peppers and spices. The cheese may be kashkaval and the red spread acuka with tomatoes, peppers, walnuts. There are different types of tea but the one served for breakfast is always a clear black tea, other teas include rosehip and linden tea but not with breakfast.

I was gonna say that. There's no wrong way of eating. Of course I wouldn't go for acuka + Nutella but each their own. Lots of pastries, börek, simit, poğaça, açma with many different fillings, different kind of bread so many different kind of cheese, at least two kind of olive. Different jams and marmalades. Omg I'm getting hungry oh and eggs are must have. Also I love fresh herbs fruits or vegetables in breakfast. Oh and I love fries too. We fry basically everything. You can leave the table with healthy choices or really bad choices, either way you gonna have full stomach And great thing about it we really eat like this every breakfast especially in sundays. Me and my husband can easily drink 2 litres of tea but if we eat with family tea goes up to 5-10 litres. After breakfast we don't do anything just sit and drink more tea. We don't even clean the dishes well after an hour. We just chat and try digest the feast we just devoured

Others have answered the questions you asked, so let me answer one too, the wrapped thing with cheese in it at the end is not a bread, it is actually a pastry. It's called a "Sigara Böreği" means cigeratte pastry, because of the way it looks.^^ Also, Turks call breakfast " Kahvaltı. " Kahvaltı means before the coffee or under the coffee. Coffee is usually drunk after breakfast and you've had Turkish coffee, now you know how strong coffee it is, I think you understand why Turks called breakfast this way lol

Somewhere in the forest.🙂 But if you ever see a "Sosyal Tesisi" restaurant, definitely go in. The food is great and the price can't be beat. These are probably state restaurants so that the lower middle class can also treat themselves to luxury. really great stuff..

Turkish tea is served in small and elegant glasses in the shape of a lady. The glass is held between the thumb and index finger on the edge of the glass because it is very hot. The special feature is that black tea is drunk immediately after brewing. However, when looking from the glass, a dark reddish color can be seen. Like rabbit blood, which is called "tavşan kanı" in Turkish tavşan = rabbit kanı = blood
