You dont want him playing a full quarter, but at least 1 drive to see how the line can do protecting him when it still doesnt count, because those first 4 weeks are going to be absolutely brutal.

Historically, we've had 2 "franchise" QBs go down for a long period of time due to preseason snaps, particularly against the Giants in both. Zach Wilson also missed the first 3 weeks due to a knee injury from a juke in the preseason. Difference is, none of these games mean anything. So why risk it?
