My favorite Colin-stat was his "Rodgers is 10-10 in the past 20 games." True. Also, notice: he stretched his range just ONE game into 2021, just to include the playoff game where Green Bay was eliminated. If you make the streak any shorter, Rodgers looks better. If you make it any LONGER, Rodgers also looks better. When you stretch the range to include just a single game in a season where he was the MVP, that is an agenda. You can include 2021, or leave it out, but what you can't do is stretch seven months to include just one game, but not go a single week further back. What kind of sense does that make? Either Colin Cowherd seriously said to himself "Jan 26 2021 is very relevant to tonight's game, but Jan 19th of the same year is ancient history", or he just took his mouse and stretched it over the worst possible record he could find. For the record, I think something like 15 of those 20 games were played with a broken thumb on his throwing hand. Why does Colin hate a sports personality that he has no personal relationship with? You'd have to ask him. It's the same kind of stats Colin always uses. He literally just hyped up the Patriots because in their second game, they beat an "undefeated team". Yes, 1-0 is technically undefeated. 1-0 has fewer syllables and more information, so of course he'll say undefeated because it makes it seem like more than it is. Why does he care THAT MUCH about his favorite group of professional athletes, most of whom have no ties whatsoever to New England? I know the answer to that one: he never had the "none of this actually matters, but it's fun to watch" epiphany that most of us had as small children. He's way too old to be taking professional sports personally like this. Broadcasters get audiences for being good, or for being really bad. Colin is the latter. Look around -- everyone's poking holes in his arguments, regardless of which team they're pulling for. I even feel silly, because I find myself rubbernecking at the war crime that is the level of analysis at "The Herd".
