My inner Eric only says "what to do.." because I often have no idea.

I don’t hear Eric narrate my chess but I do find myself using his common terms or sayings while playing. Like “oh no my queen” or “the pawns are smiling” etc

I definitely use Rosenisms since watching the speedrun series. "I think I'll be happy to..." "Let's continue development here." "I think I just win a piece in this line."

I definitely follow Eric’s thought patterns now when playing my own games. Also, I have learned to be calm during blitz games. Thanks Eric!

T I 100& narrate my chess games with your voice in my head. I'll be analyzing a position and hear out of nowhere 'oh theres a funny line'

You don't even need a passport to get into Canada. A driver's license will do. Of course, you WILL need a passport to come back, so there's that. :) 3:09 World Champion Stalemaster! OTOH, Eric, you never know when a mental gestalt will close, and how far you can go. :) First game: I think this is the earliest I've ever seen an opponent resign on Eric.

I don't hear you narrating my games, and I watch you quite a bit. However, I don't know how to quickly identify chess notation, so my inner thoughts are never "knight e3", "bishop d3", etc.

The Buchholz system is the first tie break, then there are various other tie breaks after that.

1:55:38 Eric stumbles into the problem of calling an attack on three pieces a triple fork. Then an attack on two pieces is a double fork, one less than triple, but that's just a fork! So maybe attacking three pieces is only a double fork in the same way a double hat-trick is four goals/wickets/feats (one more than three). Or perhaps, to retain the definitions of a triple fork and a regular fork, it's an attack on three different pairs of pieces (e.g. KR, RQ, QK), so three different forks and thus a triple fork. In this case, it's only possible to have a regular fork (1 fork, 2 pieces), a triple fork (3 forks, 3 pieces), a sextuple fork (6 forks, 4 pieces), a decuple fork (10 forks, 5 pieces) etc. That is n choose 2, where n is the number of pieces attacked. Now I want to know what the largest (n-choose-2)-uple fork could be!
@cruetusnex8 ай бұрын
If a fork is between two pieces, a double fork would be 4 pieces, and a triple fork 6 pieces! So when you fork 3 pieces it would be a 1.5x fork... right?

Think about a fork that you eat with. If it has 3 tines you'd call it a triple-fork, 2 tines is a double fork. If it has 1 tine then it's not a fork, it's a spike.
