I love cooking freh fish different ways ..and it's good for you . I try to cook it different other than frying since that is basically what everyone does. I want to enjoy more dishes. Possibly healthier ones

Was there past weekend.. no luck in the surf on PINS. I caught one mackerel at the start of the jetty. And a small red. Everyone on both ends of the jettys were slaying the mackerel on spoons and reds on live mullet. I forgot my cast net :(((

Honestly when the reds are thick and feeding as aggressive as they shoukd this time of year. Just having a lure in there face will do the trick. Yesterday I limited out on soft plastics at packery

I was there last weekend all I caught was rocks on the bottom hardheads and the reds kept breaking off my lines on the rocks. Lol

The rocks do tend to be a problem when you jetty fish so I simply make my own rigs instead of buying..also having cleats or the korkers I wear let you get more closer and in the action losing less fish ..I have them linked in my description 🤙

I use baitcasters that I use for bass on redfish at these jetties..just make sure ro have 30 pound braid on atleast. My baitcasters are being serviced. I would have used then this day
