@southtexasfishingfam34365 ай бұрын
I need to show how to properly hook the shrimp next time. I don't kill the shrimp I just simply know where to hook it to keep it alive. Through the tail can work also and may keep the shrimp alive longer.. however next video I use live shrimp il be sure to explain how to properly hook it

@southtexasfishingfam3436 that's awesome I'm glad yall help people out. Il keep a eye out for the youtubers in corpus yall help people learn how to fish in our environment. Keep up the good work. Can I make a request? on your next video can you say something about keep the water clean picking up after yourself or maybe grabbing some extra trash on the way out. It saddens me to see garbage everywhere when I go fishing.

@southtexasfishingfam3436 Hey brother, headed to Packery tomorrow (8/10) early AM; never been there before. Any advice on the following? Hate to ask, but I'm relatively new to this. - which jetty is preferred? - surf side or channel side? - if catch anything, is there anywhere i can go to get someone to clean it for me? I have not learned yet. Someone mentioned Clem's marina?? - I drive a Honda Accord, not a truck. Any suggestions on where to park? don't want to get stuck in the sand. Also, I was told I need to go to stripes and pay $12 for a parking pass. Thanks for any feedback you can share!
@southtexasfishingfam34364 ай бұрын
Every day is different. However, the trout are abundant in the surf at the moment. So I woukd like to fish a calmer surf for them since the wind will be from the south a bit. It's better to fish the north so you can have the wind at your back, and calm surf.. marker 37 is a great place to go ..clems is not to bad either. Yes you need a parking permit if you plan to park in the sand. sand conditions can very. I would tread lightly and see if there isba way around the soft sand that will get you as close as possible. Sometimes there is a smooth path to the rocks

Can you keep them tarpons?
@southtexasfishingfam3436Ай бұрын
No unless its 7 foot 1 inch it's considered a trophy catch in twxas amd can be legally kept for those reasons howeverit is frowned upon and not respectful to the species itself and for future fisherman to experience tarpon also..you also can't take them out the water once they reach a certain size you have to unhook them in the water.. however it's a bucket list fish for many folks definitely a trophy catch no matter the size
