It's for welding the pieces of fabric together, using ultrasound.

@@tekknorat is it for all type of tissus for exemple welding cotton with velvety? For pillows? And leather?

@@vincefrommenton no, not really. I might be wrong, but it's more for synthetic fabrics (polyester, polyamide) and in this case, non woven fabric, the kind that is used for medical face masks.

@@vincefrommenton yes, that would be great. Unfortunately, no natural materials as cotton, leather and such can be melted, therefore they can't be welded with ultrasound. Only option for natural materials might be literally putting strips of thermal glue, but that's quite complicated process and would not be very economical. Better stick to the needle and thread.
