You probably won’t see this, but in sparking games the technique to get true combos is to get behind your opponent. That’s why you can drag rush and tap the same button again to dash right behind your opponent. Also, one close range you can use your side dash when an opponent tries to use a focus attack or press B as soon as you see their character lined up and you’ll get a reversal. Super important to learn the game combo straight on but after your character breaks away the first time the opponent can block so you might as well stop the combo after the first string of hits or change it into something else

Grabs are basically a guaranteed super on your opponent, and use ki blasts to keep combos alive, the ki blast is kinda like a mini stun so it keep them in the combo basically, don’t feel bad those cpus are kinda strong ngl
