This idea of making videos into a story has made such a difference in my videos. Beginning, middle, and end is my typical narrative. Now I see I need to work on a rising action to a climax somehow. Easier said than done, but I will try! Thanks for this!

01:23 📚 You don't need a complex story; incorporating storytelling into weekly videos is accessible and impactful. 02:03 🏞 Story format consists of introduction, inciting incident, rising action, climax, and resolution. 05:43 🔍 Introduction sets up the hook, backstory, and introduces characters and objectives. 10:39 🌟 Inciting incident propels the story forward, setting up the main objective or goal of the video. 11:44 🏔 Rising action showcases challenges and obstacles towards achieving the main objective. 12:53 ⛰ Climax is the most intense or exciting part where the main objective is achieved. 14:02 🎬 Resolution wraps up the story, providing a takeaway or connecting the experience to the audience. 16:19 🏞 Quick resolutions are recommended to maintain audience engagement on KZbin.

Terrific. As always! Thanks. As a photographer, I’ve always made stories, but so far have only ever used video to record moments. With your inspiration, I’ve recently started storytelling of some of the water sports I do, the whole journey of the day, set up, etc. Previously it might just of been my action highlights. These new short films have gone down so well - they are next level in comparison. So rewarding. Now I need to go further to capture the anticipation and resolution you cover. Very excited to put it into practice. Thanks!

Dear Javen, My name is Afik, and i am writing to you from Israel. i'm working on a Vlogumentary as we speak, and thanks to your tutorials and you as an inspiration i've decided to film or make a short documentary about my life, as my wife is not from my country, and we are going through all the process of bringing her here. since we've met... Covid hit, the quarantines began, and now the Russia-Ukraine war. (and she's from Russia). its a very interesting story because i've planned a trip to russia which got cancelled due to quarantines and cancellation of flights. But! i've got most of the equipment to shoot (except for a good camera, i'm going to use my iphone, some gopro's, i have the Osmo mobile 6 and the mini 2 drone, i also got the dji mic, and a few other small things). i want to make it like a timeline story, because now basically we are going through the process of getting a visa permit for her to arrive. so i want to make it like a documentary (4-5 episodes). and this HOW TO video came as a blessing. I love you man, i was looking for tutorials for the mini 2 and arrived here. and i love how informative and helpful your channel is. I remember you said in one of your videos that this channel began as a travel vlog for you and your wife. This is what inspired me the most to actually go for it, because i'm a very private person regarding my life. Thank you for everything, its not obvious. and if you read my comment, i would really appriciate any advice. (sorry if i have some spelling mistakes, my english is pretty rusty). appriciate you.

I'm sure, these are good informations as always, but the background music is too loud, disturbing your explanations and getting on my nerves. Can't watch this further. Please don't use background music when you're talking. Btw., most of this 08/15 social media music is a never ending boring and kiddy styled loop out of psycho land.

It’s all finally starting to sink in for me. Thanks for persisting with this issue of putting story first, Jeven. I’ve resisted it for too long because of the extra work involved, but I’m in this for at least the next 5-10 years, so I really want to master it. Thank for all the value you bring. 👍🇦🇺🦘
