Whats your thoughts on this style of raw talk style of videos?

this is great, maybe considering to stand a bit far, less camera shaking, and maybe a bit shorter and precise. however you are an amazing creater and you konw what are you doing.

We used to do a no edit video once per month. Just raw walk and talk. It was easy on us but they never did well. With fulltime work online plus this and family, we stopped for almost two years. I have a dozen or so videos in the edit bay. Starting rolling again soon. Hope to see you there

Thanks for the reminder to focus in one 1 thing! Dude do you do coaching sessions? I need some help! also, I like these videos, its almost like a podcast/vlog? My only suggestion is less movement when talking, I skipped forward, it was kinda hard to watch. Thank You!

As a new creator, we have so many things that take our time. From learning editing software and all the nuances that go into different elements, to learning our camera platforms and trying to optimize our recorded video, to building thumbnails... it all takes so much time. Especially when trying to feed the beast... having at least one long form video every week. Starting from zero, it's taken a long time to get semi-proficient in all of these diverse areas. Back to focusing on storytelling, which should have been a main focus from day 1... This style video is just what is needed for the content provided. No need for long drawn-out edits in my opinion.
@JonAdamsTech8 ай бұрын
My question is do these kind of videos only work once a creator has been established for a while? If I find a channel and it’s low effort I’m probably not likely to watch anything else, but if I’ve seen their ability to make awesome videos then I love connecting with these lower production kinds.
@JevenDovey8 ай бұрын
Yes and no. Some creators only make this style of content and do very well. Their X factor is the content of their videos and how they deliver it. However for most creators yes there is a level of trust you have to build to be able to make a raw video like this and reach a broader portion of your audience

This was the right moment for me to hear these thoughts of yours, because that's what I'm struggling for the moment: to condense my time having my day job and making videos. Another important thing for me is to become much more selective on what content I'm watching because there are many things I'm interested on and watching vids and posts on social media about everything takes too much time. As about this style of videos - hiking and talking - I like it, although, for me, the primordial things are your thoughts on the specific topic you choose but I find it to be diversifying and refreshing to have both styles. Thanks for sharing. 🙏😊

Same here. I was trying to be on every social media platform. I'm really paring it down, focusing, and using my own personality. It took time to get to that point, but it takes what it takes.
@BeginningsAndPaths8 ай бұрын
@@weeklyfascination Yes, it takes time but in the long run seems to be more effective because of the focusing and not dispersing the attention and the forces in many directions.

Excellent tips on attention. I’ll occasionally lose time on a big project to worry about those little side socials, when I should continue to focus on my main work, building a successful KZbin channel. At some point I thought I had to start an instagram just because that’s what everyone does. But, it’s a big distraction. I’ve also tried attention editing, and raw. The funny thing is I’ve had viral videos with both styles. Just different audiences.

For me, as long as the information is valuable, where you shoot the footage doesn't matter that much. You consistently provide good, valuable info, THAT's why you nailed over a million subscribers, congratulations! I will be launching my own channel very soon and have learned tons from your channel, thank you. Gold Play button for you!

It's a side hustle that I enjoy, the fact others enjoy watching is a bonus for me 😀 I moved away from making 2 videos a week as it wasn't becoming fun anymore, now that I make videos when I want to, keeps it fresh & I'm creating memories for myself for the future 👍

Cheers so much you do make things more simplified plus focused and not so pressured to perform and I believe raw talks the best as it’s being straight up and honest which is true caring 😊❤

Great advice, especially when highlighting importance of sustainability. A lot of people have lives outside of KZbin and it's good to hear someone give advice that acknowledges that, instead of the typical advice that seems to lead toward burnout. 🤙

Now that I know how you respond to comments, maybe I won't write this LOL but no matter ... LOVED THE VIDEO, especially the WHY. I have been thinking of creating my own channel for years, often talked about it, never got off the ground. Thinking 2024 is the year, being retired and much less goal driven. I so appreciated the soul searching of why I am doing this and the focus on less platforms with less rat race. THANKS!!!

When I saw your video pop up, I thought, "Cool, I get to have a walk and talk with Jeven today!". So yes, this style of video combined with the thoughtful knowledge you share and you being you is a great mix! And don't be afraid to inject random but important bits of things that have helped you along your journey, even if they're not directly related to YT. Your casual mention of Stiocism in a previous video was a nudge I needed to realign some priorities in my life. But that sort of thing could easily cross a line for a large portion of your audience and a light touch is probably best.

All of the content that you present is at a highly professional level. You are a master at transmitting information. This makes people want to come back to your channel. You are a communicator par excellence. This applies to everything I have watched from your channels. Some of it is way above my pay grade. I have to step way outside of my box and make a comment on this video. The background parallax was a bit distracting to me. I could watch and listen to you with a green screen background. Really. Love to see the nature you just need to not move the camera around so much. I say this with the greatest humility for your talent and expertise far exceed my own. Your sincerity of delivery is your best asset. Great work on all levels.

For me, growth on YT and social networks is like a journey that I learn as a beginning cameraman. I already have some orders and it's pushing me a lot. However, I'm not very good at growing on social media lately. Instagram in particular is perhaps cursed. Also, the vertical format is starting to bother me more and more. That's why I'm slowly moving to YT, where I have about two videos so far and I'm trying to see what's interesting for viewers :) Otherwise, I sure like this narrative format. You have something to pass on, go ahead.

I think you need to ask yourself is KZbin a promotion tool or is it a bussiness? I am sure that there is a ton of passive income that can come along with it your level but is that worth it if you begin to burn out and other parts of your business begin to take a hit because of the balance of time. Creators have no time so Jeven drops a 25 min video for us to watch. 😂 Partial continuous attention sounds like an old metaphor. Are you a river or a flood? Rivers have banks, direction, and depth all of which translates to strength and power. Floods are a million miles wide and one inch deep with no direction. Floods are damaging to everything they touch. Don’t be a flood.
