Won't be surprised if Changi stays world's no.1 airport for another 6 years. New turkish airport also opened up, which is pretty nice. However, so far I have not travelled anywhere where the airport in itself is a fantastic destination. Really great job with the architecture and especially immersing Singapore's natural beauty into Changi, will have to visit this year. Excellent video btw. Make the video again after its official opening. I'm sure it'll be fantastic.

Agree about Changi remaining world's no 1 airport for a very long time. Singapore have set the benchmark so high with Jewel, that it would take other airports decades to catch up. But then again, I doubt any airport would be able to catch up with Changi, as they just keep doing things better and better there. I'm hoping I get there in the next two weeks or so, when I transit through.

@@happycamper4329 I think the reason Singapore consistently is able to deliver is because they keep their product core within the essence of Singapore. If you look at Changi there is so much artwork inspired by Singapore's own history and asian culture. This is one of the things, I believe, that gives them a unique edge over its competitors. They pride themselves on the cultural history and natural beauty of Singapore and they have seamlessly immersed that in everything Singapore, including Changi. Ofcourse modernization, shopping and technology plays an important role there too but that's what every city aims for. The great thing is, the fun doesn't stop at Changi, you leave the airport and you're in a SIM city of wonders. So much to explore, shopping, food, entertainment and so on. It's a blast. Have fun while you are there 😃

@@YVAviation Jewel is not airside at the airport so anyone can visit. I Was there in May 2019 and it was very, very crowded mainly with locals just going to see the new experience. I hope it becomes less busy over time as it was like a glorified shopping mall when I was there

@@@cmartin_okJewel is still pretty crowded during peak hours and I think it will remain the same as it has a lot of dining options which is why the locals visit Jewel frequently :)

@@YVAviation It's not as if Singapore is short on dining options! When I was there the queue for Shake Shack was so long that they had staff "patrolling" it to keep customers in order, and to make breaks at the walkways so people could get through. A few hours wait for an ordinary cheeseburger??? I ought to know, I've been to NYC and had a few Shake Shack burgers myself !

Jewel @ Changi Airport is built at a cost of S$1.7Billion and it has more than 200 stores. Designed by famous architect Moshe Safdie. Transit tourists can also enjoy a movie at the Jewel while waiting for their next flight. There are also many good restaurants in Jewel @ Changi. Definately a Must-See in Singapore
