Hi kiddo's ! As a fellow travelaholic :-), I love your videos and your Positive Latitude channel name !!! Quickie question: did you run into any sound issues with the connecting stateroom door between cabins ? Thanks so much and happy sailing - cheers !!!

Marcia, thanks again for watching. One of these days I'll get around to those vlog videos that go along with the room tours.... We've had more noise issues from the deck above us or from adjoining balconies than the adjoining rooms-but occasionally you'll hear something. But, I wouldn't say that there is more noise it's all about how respectful your neighbors are. We are just days away from our first oceanview cabin - stay tuned. Ali likes her balcony. Happy Cruising!

Thanks for your detailed answer. Why the cruise lines don't put in sold wood double doors with snugger fittings between cabins is beyond me. And I agree with you re. noise issues with veranda's. I love my verandas but it seems my hubby and I get Mr. and Ms. Megaphone Mouths next to us every time we cruise LOL ! It's all about respecting each others privacy and space. Any who ! If you and your wife ever cruise with Princess or Holland America, I can recommend to you some real private and larger than usual veranda's - same price as the regular veranda's. I study those deck plans like a hawk and then I also pull up images of the ship to verify size visually, and for the most part, the neatest verandas are end ones - only 1 neighbor, and sometimes you get extra space as the veranda extends into the ships hull. And so ! You two are trying out an Ocean View cabin and you will enjoy them as they are quieter and you can sometimes hear the wish-wash of the seas... and spray on your window too depending upon how low you are. ANY cabin on ANY ship as long as your cruising is FAB u LOUS !Enjoy your cruise and happy life happy travels ! marcia

We love Princess! It was our first cruise. We are on the new Enchanted Princess this fall - can't wait. Do tell your veranda secrets, :)

Thank you both for your VLOGS, we are traveling aboard Jewel in Europe (exact same cabin) this year and we're appreciative of all the details your videos have provided. Allison, please tell Rodney that I agree with you both about the chocolate chip cookies, but I plan on eating more than normal while on vacation, so if I skip a few cookies...all is well! Keep posting and continue to keep it real :)

Hi Noelle, thanks for watching, Looks like we missed your post before your cruise and hope you had a great time. We love the Jewel. We've booked a cruise on her out of Copenhagen in a few months time-can't wait!! Royal's chocolate chip cookies are less than royal - BUT, we have found an exception. Symphony of the Seas. I'm guessing the pastry chef went rogue. :) Again, hope you had a great time!

Thanks for the video! How did you find the noise level? The suites seem to be just below the pool/movie theatre. Did the noise ever bother you? Thanks!

Hi Christine. We had no issues with noise with this room. We've had a number of rooms just below the pool deck and only a few times did we even notice. We just returned from sister ship Brilliance of the Seas and stayed in suite 1078, which is much further aft, beneath with Windjammer, and the noice of carts rolling on the tile floor above was more of an issue. I'd stay forward of the Centrum on this class of ship when I we sail next time - perhaps even back in suite 1038 like on this cruise. Happy Cruising! Rodney
