Jewelry box in Art-Deco style - Decoupage and decor tutorial - DIY Home Decor

While watching the wonderful series about Hercule Poirot, I was inspired by the style of the 30s and the Art Deco style. So today we will make an incredibly stylish jewelry box in the Art Deco style. In this video master class, I show the techniques of creating three-dimensional decor using a stencil, decoupage, as well as the technique of silver plating and decorating with flock. By the way, it is flock that gives this casket a special look and an incredible tactile sensation when using it.

I used the following materials:
- square wooden box - size 14*14*8 cm (approx. 5*5*3 inches)
- stencil with geometric square decor
- universal transparent glue
- water-based acrylic glossy varnish
- smooth finish putty
- black acrylic paint
- glue for silver leaf
- alcohol shellac
- silver leaf
- glue for decoupage
- napkin for decoupage with a zebra skin pattern
- flock black - velvet powder
- silver patina wax
- hardware - handle 1 ps and legs 4 ps.
Tools:
- synthetic flat brush (large for paint, glue and varnish and small for painting internal and small parts)
- palette knife
- sandpaper
- wet and dry wipes.

Під час перегляду чудового серіалу про Еркюля Пуаро, надихнулась стилістикою 30х років і стилем Арт-деко. Тож сьогодні будемо робити неймовірно стильну скриньку для прикрас в стилі Арт-деко. У цьому відео майстер-класі я показую техніки створення об'ємного декору за допомогою трафарету, декупаж, а також техніки серебріння поталью і декоруванняя флоком. До речі саме флок дає цій шкатулці особливого вигляду і неймовірного тактильного відчуття при користування нею.

Я використовувала такі матеріали:
- квадратна дерев'яна скринька - розмір 14*14*8 см (приблизно 5*5*3 дюйма)
- трафарет з геометричним квадратним декором
- клей універсальний прозорий
- лак покривний водний акриловий глянсовий
- шпаклівка фінішна гладка
- акрилова фарба чорного кольору
- клей для поталі
- шелак спиртовий
- поталь листова срібна
- клей для декупажу
- серветка для декупажу з візерунком шкіри зебри
- флок чорний
- віск патинуючий срібного кольору
- фурнітура - ручка 1 шт. і ніжки 4 шт.
Інструменти:
- кисть синтетична плоска (велика для фарби, клею та лаку та маленька для внутрішнього фарбування)
- мастихін
- наждачний папір
- вологі та сухі серветки.
