I just posted something a few minutes ago but then I ran across you are you are My Sunshine pendant and I bought something similar to this ordered it online for my son. He was my firstborn and I used to sing him this song to quiet him when he was upset and crying. To this day he is now twenty-nine and it is still our special thing. I loved hearing the story about you and your grandmother, thank you for sharing.

I have been watching you for a long time Margaret! I love your shows especially the jewelry. I stopped ordering the GW blue boxes for awhile because the they were no longer worth purchasing. However, before I stopped I found some good pieces. The best one was a 10k yellow gold necklace with diamonds that was appraised for $2200. It's still listed but I'm ok waiting for the right buyer. In the past year, I started buying auction lots. My best finds in one lot were a 14k gold necklace that sold for $500, a designer necklace that sold for $450, and a vintage Rolex that I sold to a local jewelry store for $2500. So for those of you who are just getting started or even if you already buy and sell jewelry, you never know what you will find! Happy hunting everyone!

I grew up in Virginia Beach and I've seen tons of that white piece on the silver tone chain, it's a section of a shell wall that's just been tumbling around in the waves and sand for ages until what you see is what's left. Whomever owned it most likely picked it up at a shurf shop for tourists. Like a souvenir. Because if you have spent as much time as I have walking the beach you'll run across them all the time. I wouldn't say it has any value maybe 5bucks.

I loved hearing your take on the various pieces, and I was really encouraged to find that many of the pieces I thought were fairly worthless are actually going to be good sellers for you. I used to sell a lot of jewrlry - both new and used - and still have a ton of it in storage. I've been thinking of doing an online auction, but now I'm wondering how and where you sell yours. hi Margaret, i think that final piece you were looking at may be a piece of 'brain coral' or another variation of coral. Also, if you still have the art deco looking eye pin with the onyx and clear stone , i would test it for platinum. it's likely not BUT i know that some PT has small amounts of cobalt mixed in which is slightly magnetic and also i read that the laws for hallmarking platinum were loose at best up until the 70's.

Hi Margaret. Simple question. I have watched many of your unboxing videos and you mention you sell the broken pieces in a "craft lot". What platform do you sell those on? I don't see any lots on your ebay or etsy stores other than comic books. What am I missing? Also, do you have a video where you discuss how you clean the jewelry before you list it? Or do you not clean before selling? Thanks so much.

Just starting jewelry and have so much to learn. So far I just guess if a stone is rhinestone, CZ, Crystal or glass. Do you have a video on this? The last piece is an old piece of a large shell. The holes are made by worms. The cup shape is a tell that says shell and the squiggly lines tell you it is worms. I am a Florida girl and have seen many of these wash up on the shores and river bank.
