Jewish Ambulance gets STUCK behind red lights - Hatzola responding on Lights & Sirens

Hatzola Jewish ambulance (KU22 WJL) responding through Euston on lights and sirens, getting stuck behind as red light as I believe they do not have the same road exemptions as the London Ambulance Service. Hatzola has 4 ambulances on-call 24/7 across North London crewed by Jewish volunteers, the idea of Jewish volunteer ambulances first came to be in Brooklyn, New York before spreading to other parts of the world like London and Manchester. Different Hatzola services can be known as Hatzalah, Hatzolah, Hatzoloh, Chevra Hatzalah as well as Hatzola which is the name the North London service went for - all of these mean roughly Rescue, Rescue Group, Relief, etc.

Not sure about their exemptions but the latest training for all Emergency drivers is that if you come across heavy traffic ( even a queue at red traffic lights ) and there is no safe way for traffic to move out of your way you should knock the sirens off and re apply them as soon as the lights change to green and traffic can safely move over for you ( which is what this driver of the ambulance did ) . There have probably been too many cases of people driving through red lights to get out of your way with all the best intentions and becoming involved in a crash where they would be deemed to be at fault so the order of the day is not to panic anyone . It might cost you a minute or two in delays , but it is best not to cause another emergency . Additionally if the emergency vehicle driver did keep the sirens on and a crash happened they could be apportioned some of the blame .
