Thank you. Watching from Oz....where I was born: a humble War Baby (1944). I appreciated the kindness shown toward me by the Temple Emanu-El during 2007 - 2008.

Very interesting. I believe The Loss of identity has a lot to do with their demise, as it does to this day .

Slave trade american cotton to england, scottish child and widow labor to make textiles to india, indian opium to china. Very proud legacy indeed!

it might have been this family that got to hybradise the opium poppy in kew gardens to maximise its yield, took a little time, but it paid off😂Oh yes, and its potency.

Exactly... Even Wikipedia used to say he was a textiles trader and an an opium trader after moving to India.. But now there is no mention of him trading opium.. Just about trading textile.. Literally rewrote history.

@@cheekyape It still mentions opium on the Sassoon wiki page, and David Sassoon's wiki page.
@cheekyape Жыл бұрын
@@davism3800 It doesn't.. When you check Wikipedia now it says following: Sassoon David Sassoon (August 1832 - 24 June 1867) was a British Indian businessman, banker, and philanthropist.

@@cheekyape Read more. It clearly mentions his involvement. The Sassoon family wiki article also clearly states how they made their fortune.
