As an amazigh, my grandfather told us stories about his jewish neighbors. And how they where basically considered family. When our jewish brothers and sister left morocco they didnt just take their wonderful food and beautiful music with them, they left their family behind ❤️ⴰⵣⵓⵍ

@rabbit what are you talking about? Jewish people do not represent the fascist israeli state. They are our amazigh brothers and sisters, we have history together stretching thousands of years. You can condemn the actions of israel without being a bigot.

Exactly! It's a crying shame that the Jewish communities had to flee from antisemitic persecution. There are now officially only 3 Jews living in Syria. 🔯

I am so happy you are shining a light on Jewish art! My religion is, sadly, underrepresented in art history.

@rabbit most silversmiths were Jewish crafting as in most North African country

Lol Mizrahi & Sephardi settled on our land and took roles In society these are Amazigh Jewellery and we still wear them. Jews added a couple of features on our Jewellery and claim as their, but I won’t dispute that.😂

"Imazighen" is a gorgeous name. The two interpretations of it are interesting - I wonder where they come from. But these earrings are also lovely. I've probably seen very few, fleeting examples of similar jewelry throughout my life. Love me some filigree and now my jewelry has to make music when I walk or it's underqualified, lol. And don't get me started on that headdress. 😍

I'm confused. Were these made by Jewish silversmiths or Amazigh silversmiths, or were they one and the same? The video doesn't really make it clear.

There may be a lack of consensus on this issue but the museum records state: "Moroccan Jewish artist" as the maker.
