After watching and reading 100s of survivor accounts, Ed Mosberg's is unique in his expression of the pain, his honesty about the "searches", his passion for honoring what was lost and gentleness with his wife of +70 years. Producing that truncheon - didn't we all fear a heart attack, either ours or his. Will never forget him! The interviewer walked a tight rope in prompting memory and giving space to feel/grieve/honor. I commend the Foundation for finding him.

Amen! Only the dead can forgive. I feel the tension in this man, the pent up grief and emotion barely contained and my heart aches for him and all who he lost. I pray it never happens again. He is so lovely to his wife and so sweet with her. How heartwarming 💖

This couple is extraordinary! I will never forget this mans testimony and for his level of love for his children and grandchildren. I only wish I had the opportunity to meet all of you. I plan to show this to my sons and will share it with my family and classroom. Americans need to lock hands of friendship with people of different religions and fight against antisemitism. God Bless you and your family. And Thank You for sharing your story with the world.

Had to watch it again. We won’t forget Mr. Mosberg.... we won’t forget . You have changed for the better myself as well as my children. Thank You again for being so brave and courageous to talk about what happened. Both of my Grandfathers were in WW2. One was in the Navy and fought at IWO JIMA and the other fought in the Army all the way to Germany. He rarely would talk until recently about seeing horrors of what happened to the Jewish people. He said liberation was a very bittersweet thing for the Jewish people and he did not enjoy having to guard German SS. He felt there was no justice for those that were murdered. I never realize how this experience impacted him until recently.

How wonderful it is that Edward Mosberg and his wife are still alive and able to tell the world their story about the atrocities of the Nazis in Europe in WW2. Such humility, honesty and strength, and a warning to the world today that we ignore the rise of facism at our peril . We should all read the words of Martin Niemoller and know that at any time it could be us.
@Canuckmom1285 жыл бұрын
@J W I agree, wholeheartedly. Unfortunately there is a certain percentage of the human race that are easily corrupted by greed and power, and the same atrocities are perpetrated over and over again. You are right - people ignore History and Niemoller's words at their peril. I will add to that, the following: “Bad men need nothing more to compass their ends, than that good men should look on and do nothing.” John Stuart Mill, 1867

I cried through this video. My heart is also breaking for these beautiful souls and the hell they endured. Many of the same stories. Heart wrenching! We have to teach our children love and kindness. I pray that human beings can show compassion and love in our world instead of hatred. The horrific tragedies of this war lives on in many generations. God Bless these families.

This interviewer should have just let Edward talk instead of asking such abrupt question that segmented Ed's story into facts, instead of facts and feelings, recollections that lifted to the top of Ed's memories.
