From all these videos I'm learning how important it is to have humility when conducting an important interview like this.

I have listened to many, many of these survivor testimonies...but, this interviewer was by far the very worst!!!!! If I had been Joli I would’ve put her in her place or walked out on her. Joli, was a beautiful soul, & I loved listening to her is the only reason I stuck with this interview ❤️. Joli had so much patience & was so gracious with this interviewer...I could not have done it.

It's unbelievable how rude this interviewer was! The more you listen, the more you want to hear Joli's story but the more this interviewer keeps interrupting and talking over her.

The interviews are best when allowed to flow. This interviewer continued to insert herself and it was very annoying.
@markparker82973 жыл бұрын
The interviewer is nerve-wracking it's like she is badgering the surviver it's like she is trying to catch her in a lie I feel bad for this surviver to agree to be interviewed about the worst part of her life which she has already been terrorised now this interviewer is trying to terriorise the surviver

One point really sticks out to me. One of the German soldiers (Wehrmacht) staying in ther home found out what would happen to them after he had been traveling. He risked his own life offering to take the entire family in his truck to safety but the parents refused to go or believe him. Later Joli says that they never had any kind of warning of what was going to happen to them. What more of a warning could you possibly need or ask for?

I totally agree with the comments referring to the so called interviewer .I UNDERSTAND THAT the subject matter needs to be thoroughly documented however most of these interviewers do not have the skill set to undertake such an important historical account .I have tried to get my children to listen to some of these accounts but they become annoyed and uninterested because of the stupidity of the interviewer. TO bad that they ruin an otherwise crucial learning experience

I agree with everyone. The interviewer was rude. She kept inerrupting Joli, who was more than patient. The interruptions and constant questions of the interviewer made it difficult to follow her very important story. If you're going to conduct an interview in English, it is important to have an interviewer who speaks English clearly, which this interviewer can't always do.

This I agree with. Her English is hard on the ears.

The interviewer did her job terribly! She should've improved her English before agreeing to take on her job! It is painful to hear her over and over in her depressingly heavy accent. She talked more than the interviewee and her questions were ignorant and irrelevant. The survivor's testimony was very interesting and that was the only reason why I stuck to the end despite the horrible interviewer.

@cindyhalpern31872 жыл бұрын
I listened almost until the end. The Survivor had it rough. But this interviewer asked questions about the finances of organizations, and other things that distracted from the Survivor's story. The interviewer should have worked for the KGB or CIA, instead of asking this survivor questions like she did.
