Mrs. Bloom is about the age of my Mother who is now 87. Both beautiful women on the inside. RIP dear lady..................here we are in 2020, in North America and our government is killing our elderly and infants in utero and newly born. I'm glad she didn't live long enough to see this.

The interviewer should have done some homework about the Holocaust Also Magda said earlier that her father had been killed in a minefield, and she didn’t remember.,! She asked her if her father was with them. She always asked about the colors of the uniforms, Magda is amazing,,, ! She deserved a better interviewer.

I agree! I’m working my way through these heartbreaking interviews and it’s so difficult to concentrate when the interviewer is interrupting or more concerned with their questions than really listening and keeping track. This one is bad.

Yes she kept asking about the colors of the uniforms, but she never asked anything about the 85 children have survived the Holocaust and were sent to england. Or many other important questions.

Too bad the audio was very low. I understantd that at that time the equipment used was what it was. I'v listend to MANY testamonies of the survivors of that MONSTEROUS time and this one has been the longest so far . She did not miss sharing what she witnessed and lived through. She was spared by the GRACE OF GOD ALONE so she could tell the world her story. She was VERY PRETTY , her skin was flawless. THANK YOU MAGDA.

Magda is such a sweet and articulate lady. Her story is so powerful and touching. She came through these horrible experiences with her strength of character and sweetness of spirit intact. I have heard many of these testimonies but Magda is such a special and wonderful lady. Magda, you are such an inspiration to me and I wish I could have met you. It was such a privilege to hear your story. ❤️🌹🌹❤️

I respect & admire this brave, articulate & beautiful lady. I cannot imagine being a teenager in such horrific circumstances. Still she came away from this unspeakable inhumanity & despicable treatment & somehow built a life. Her graciousness & care for her family are to me strong evidence that good can overcome evil! What a remarkable story!!

I am so blessed to have had the opportunity, all these years later, to listen to Mrs. Magda Bloom’s testimony of what happened to her and her sweet family during the Holocaust. She is an inspiration and a guiding light in that her message is one of surviving horrible circumstances and having the strength to go forward without her family. While building her life in England, she shared her experiences when invited to do so In order that WE NEVER FORGET. My thanks to Mrs. Bloom, the interviewer, Steven Spielberg, and the USC Shoah Foundation Institute.

I was so moved hearing Magda Blooms. Her experiences are one of the most detailed and articulate that I have heard. I cried many times hearing about the time in Aushwitz and Bergen Belsen. Anyone that has not lived through the experience cannot really understand the horror and degradation that she and her mother endured. God bless her.

I hear the interviewer’s voice in my right ear and the survivor’s voice in my left ear using my wireless headphones. That might make a difference in the sound quality for people who are having trouble. But the volume is generally low.

The interviewer is so useless with her constant interruptions and pointless questions. I don’t know how many times she asked Magda what color uniforms the solders wore. What difference does it make? Let people tell their stories without interruptions. An interviewer is not really needed.

I have to agree, the interviewer is not good, annoyingly so! Magda is someone that you turn on the camera and then leave her be, except for camera breaks. The questions the interviewer would ask, totally messed up the flow of what Magda was talking about. Uniform colors - Really? Celebrities? Magda is an amazing woman!
@willfade7994

I agree. Corinne Oppenheimer is the annoying interviewer. How ironic. Look up that name in relation to the Holocaust! I suffered through all 8 hours just to hear Magda’s story and I suffered through 8 hours of this horrible interviewer to hear Kitty Hart-Moxon’s story. That one’s even harder because the interviewer seemed drunk or heavily medicated and was so ridiculous, even Kitty got frustrated.

The first 35 mins was 'I heard' 'we heard' to answer the questions of the interviewer. nothing that she actually saw herself although she would say 'yes' to the question it was always followed by 'we heard I heard'. the interviewer was louder than the survivor and talked over her many times. if the interviewer would let her talk and tell her own experiences it would be less annoying because the survivor was very lovely but giving the annoying interviewer what she wanted not what she experience. Im talking about the first 35mins! I couldnt watch more

Hi Janelle, Fun tag from Alice! I’ve been hearing a lot about crooked house today and I think I might buy the book to add to my collection. I think ordeal of innocence is a cold case. I am reading that next. I don’t know how many Agatha Christie’s I’ve read but if I don’t remember it at all I probably didn’t read it a half a century ago😊 I think Hercule Poirot My favorite detective but I have a lot of runners up. In only one moth of malnutrition we can loose our periods. I am not sure about if the germans would have invested in the bromine treatment if women lost their periods naturally anyways. Bromine was used to calm hysteria patients for a shot period of time. I am very interrested about any data about the use of bromine in kz´s.

I have heard several accounts of people turning completely gray headed in moments, due to the horror and stress of arriving at camps, even beard hair. And, also, a 10 year old child turning completely gray. Stress and fear can biologically affect the human body. Along with malnutrition, this could be the cause of women not having menstrual cycles.
