Listening to him jokingly observe that he was somewhat of a motherly dad has been much appreciated. As a young boy he endured such indescribably traumatic destruction of every facet of his life. Although he experienced many aftereffects, my guess would be that his children were aware of being very blessed to have him be their father. He has taught me a lot and was exemplary, in a mere four hours of disclosure. Wherever he may be now, hopefully he will sense my admiration for him. His remarks about the impact of his (unsought) youthful struggles have been tremendously helpful. Thanks, forever. A beautiful gentleman to remember. So insightful and truthful is his own remembrance, testimony.

Heartbreaking testimony. Very brave and humble man. I have learnt such a lot from this testimony - early home life, living as a child through tensions and the importance of comradeship through bad times. Please Lord, ladle the good times onto this man until his death.

What a terrible experience he lived through. The interviewers of child survivors need to remember they were children and stop asking political questions. questions.

É pena que os entrevistadores interrompam seguidamente o depoimento dos sobreviventes.

@Ruthie Bottiger, I meant no offense & am sorry. I make it a point to watch Shoah testimonies & to warn people that we are again headed towards the same situation that happened in WWII Europe. I take these testimonies VERY seriously & am teaching others to not forget the past so we avoid repeating it.

They all survived on a piece of bread and a cup of coffee, maybe 100 calories a day. All should have died in 10 days .
