This my understanding on this teaching. •Desires come from God and are an indicator of what He has already prepared for us. •Action is our role in bringing those desires into reality, but it’s ultimately God who causes the final outcome (the “tree”). •Prayer is about nurturing and aligning with God’s will, not from a place of lack, but from a place of trust. •Desire is an indicator of possibility-when we have a desire, it’s a sign that God has already set the stage for its fulfillment, and we only need to take action in faith.

I’m a Christian (Catholic). I’ve been searching for a better understanding of prayer. I get so turned off when they call God “universe”. My understanding, God created the universe. Why would I pray to a creation and not the creator?! So, I turn those people off. If they don’t use the word yahweh, God, Christ etc. etc.. I immediately turn those people off. The true translation of " " ask" in Greek is "aiteo," which occurs 71 times in the New Testament, is " to demand." Eg. prodigal son, the dancing daughter of Herodotus made demands . God is the Father of all that have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. Mark 11: 24 aiteo is used when Jesus uses the word desire. The similarity is when presenting a cheque to the bank to draw money.

I have been praying to God lately to fully grasp the concept of faith, then saw your video earlier this week on my feed. For some reason I ignore most likely beyond this realm, I saved it to my "watch later playlist" and from reading the title seemed like the video didnt have anything to do with grasping the meaning of faith. But for some reason iI decided to watch it today just because ... I am amazingly surprised by the teaching im learning from this which are exactly what I was asking to God. The whole journey which lead me to this video reminds me the story of Prophet Moses and Prophet Kidr in the Surah al Kahf in the Qur'an. Im shaking as i am writing this. I agree with you that prayer is telling the Divine/Source/Creator that we don't have what we desire. For those that might resonate with this; I am of the opinion that this is just reinforcing the programs of lack, victimization and disempowerment that has been thrusted upon humanity since the creation of the organized patriarchal religions. This concept is also something I have observed in many of the alternative spiritual and "truther" communities, where one is encouraged to meditate, focus on the light and say your affirmations (prayers)/eat your popcorn and watch the movie, in other words, remain passive and hope/wish for an external force to come to the rescue, pushing "saviour programming". Again, in my opinion; we are immortal Sojourners here to co-create in cooperation with other Sojourners, and we are all in a nurturing and giving partnership with Source. A partnership built on trust, where we are to plant the seed and move forward with confidence, even though we don't know the "how" and the "when", because what we desired is already created for us. Merely my "two cents" on the topic before I ever so humbly bow out☺

I’ve understood this truth recently and it’s good to hear you explain. I remember as a kid always getting stung on nettles, but the docket leaves always grew with them to heal your skin. God had it all worked out, no matter how many times I stung myself as a kid, or how long it took me to learn and be careful. God created the safety net so I could learn from my mistakes

I understand you in this way: 1. Believe that the nature of God is giving all the time 2. Before a problem comes, God has already provided the solution 3. God releases desire to solve the problem into us 4. When faced with the problem, we must believe that the solution is already there before the problem came into existence 5. Then we pray into existence the solution. This is wholesome bcs scripture tells us that God has already given us everything we need for this life and godliness
