He started building his buzz in 2020 and worked his ass off since then becoming insanely over. Gunther bested him twice and that's the story there. Y'all complained about Cena and labeled him as 5 moves of Doom but suddenly he has 100% praise while still doing the same thing so I don't even wanna hear a label of Jey using the same moves. Y'all complained about Sami facing Gunther and ended up loving it so can y'all just let the damn feud finally cook? Each time Jey & Gunther faced each other it was barely built with 1-2 promos before their match and they were predictable outcomes. THIS was THE GREATEST rumble of ALL TIME !! I miss THIS WWE! It gave me 2010 vibes when Big show, Cena, Taker, HHH were all in their prime and you genuinely didn’t know who was going to win! That’s how this rumble felt. At 1st I was thinking Roma was def going over, but after he got eliminated I was in complete shock. Even before, I felt the match could go so many ways. Usually going into matches, we know whose going to win (Like when we seen charlotte come out) im excited

If jey picks Gunther, it automatically makes world championship even more unimportant than it already is, and cody vs jey is not big enough for night 2 main event. With legends like roman, Cena, punk, randy and seth in the final stages of their career, you would have had ample more opportunities for Jey Uso in coming years. Am I the only one who isn’t mad about Jey Uso winning the rumble? Although I wanted CM Punk to win the rumble, I am actually happy with Jey Uso winning the rumble. Most of us wanted a surprise & an unpredictable win so why not? I understand that Jey Uso has a limited move set but there is always time to improve and Pro Wrestling, whether we like it or not, isn’t always about the move set. Jey Uso has the Mic Skills & Charisma. Jey Uso came a long way from being a Permanent Tag Team wrestler to a Singles superstar so I believe its a good thing that he won the Rumble. John Cena can get a World Title opportunity just like that bc he is the GOAT. If he won (I won’t be mad) but I know the community will be like “They could have given this opportunity to a superstar who needs it. What a waste.” Moreover, It could have been a lot worse. Imagine if Logan Paul won instead of Jey Uso. 💀 I’m still so mad about the fact that LOGAN eliminated CM Punk. Oh my God.

The reaction online for this win was simply disgusting. Everyone was disappointed that their idea did not come out on top, with people screaming that "Roman and Seth will feud for nothing" "Punk cena was thrown away" "a star rumble was wasted", no, everything that happened this night was logical in terms of booking. Seth going for Roman, the man who started his downfall this year, and for this being eliminated by Punk, the man he hates, and finally snapping, Jey winning when his whole ark this year has been about "coming close, but not enough", hell, even Logan Paul eliminating Punk hours after Punk made fun of him in the promo against Owens. Give it time, this was a deserved and unexpected win for Jey in order to immediately sort out one of the main world titles, now let's see what will happen with the title of Cody

I think my issue is that if Jey chooses Gunther, he's picking someone he's already lost to, and Gunther has also lost to Sami. No one wants to see them fight for the third time. On the other hand, if he chooses Cody, there's no point because Cody is WWE's golden boy, so it's clear Jey won’t beat him. Neither option feels entertaining. Jey’s been fighting and losing to second-rate stars, and it feels like he’s not main event ready, which is why it's so frustrating.

If you come out of nostalgia bubble and think with a clear mind, Jey winning RR was never a problem. IMO, the problem is that he lost clean to Gunther 2 weeks ago, recent run felt lackluster and winning the RR felt too sudden. Jey eliminated Sami accidentally. That could play a part in the story line. Cena still has Elimination Chamber. Drew is going to be pissed off with Damian and the biggest of the lot, the entire fallout from the Roman, Seth and Punk angle. There are things to look forward to even if the winner wasn't who most people would've wanted.
