the absence of a blower, is one of the two reasons that a JF with 250 hp tractor can keep up with a self propelled harvester with 300 to 350 hp... That, and the inversed rotational direction of the drum cage. The JF cuts down up, and the grass rotates only about 30 degrees in the blade cage before leaving it, unlike most harvesters that keep the grass in the blade cage for half a turn (180 degrees)

Looking at it I think there wasnt enough revs going through the chopper. As in the tractor wasnt revved high enough. If you look at the flow coming out of the chute it isnt exactly blasting out like it should be of a machine and tractor of that size. The New Holland 525 we used to have would have coped with that swath!!

What, we have a taarup 10x on a cs150 and it could manage that...

chopping twice as fast for triple the cost per hour, unless you are a large contractor. For farmers or smaller contractors this is a great machine to utilise the hp already on the farm.

ive seen selfpropelled harvesters block too, wouldn't just be too hard on the machine.

I would say it was down to uneven crop not the machine!! But stil i cant see how these can out do a self propelled machine!!!

that tractor was running flat out to the end!!!! no way did he drop revs!

...but not at that chop lenth... a 1030 will make a CS150 crawl, at 3 to 4 cm chop length...

@johnyboi1 Lad had a mex 6, no way the grass will go through her at 14kmh with a 30ft row!!! yad have bother liftin a 10ft row at that speed! wise up

Boa ey that´s really slow!!! Look at the vids from Germanny when they are using Krone Big X oder a Claas.. thats Power and they chop twice fast as yours...
