I know this video bit old now. I hope OCRP gets more ex police officer or ex detectives to help make sure they doing things the proper way. It make RP more realistic. I understand there is limits with gta 5, but I have seen some ppl playing police doing some very questionable things, that no real police officer would do. I do wonder those who rp as police. Do they actually go thru a small training program or they just allowed play police officer ? Just wondering. Love that Jeff is speaking with real police detective and he shares his thought and input on events. Would love see more videos like this.

@38:00 On the alarm thing I know from personal experience. When i was a new assistant manager there was a problem with the security code I was given, as it was never activated, and the alarm went off and it triggered 911. I leaned that you are allowed 1-2 "mistakes' and then it can cost outward of 400 dollars and more for those type of issues (and that was 20yrs ago).
@Hanky_Bannist8r Жыл бұрын
I was a building engineer for 7+ years. Fire alarm testing was done quarterly on 27 businesses on the property, local police and fire had to be notified 48hrs prior to testing so there was no unneeded response. Failure to do so was a hefty citation from city fire as well as PD plus being scolded lol.

Yeah, this was next level RP. Lessons learned is maybe to be more cautious with surrounding people like that red Corvette guy and that Gruppe 6 situation. Sometimes a more investigative approach is the way to go. Hard to know when I suppose, comes with experience. I get it that in this game environment the action packed vehicle chases are a dime and a dozen but this really takes this whole experience to a completely new level RP. Great stuff and very interesting to hear what a real LEO had to say about this!

As a former detective myself, the first question that should have been asked when the vic was found was, "Did you voluntarily get in the vehicle?" Even if it had not been, after the ticks of "Bingo" and the getting in of the police vehicle, it should have come up then, as she is obviously not well. What he said about liability, is 100% correct. She hurts herself or others when just released off the scene, it goes on the dept. Good call. As far as the chase, it is indeed SOP that you don't chase, maybe watch unless you know why. He is also right by his implication of departments are different in chase protocols. The truck, yeah pic is enough, wellness check if nothing else, criminal mischief considering the servers rules. The alarms. Definitely want to hold and follow up. The most successful robberies of all time, were people posing as security, or authority figures, or set as the fall guys.

@24:16 I cn say first, the detective is right, criminals will pass back by there own scenes, as a criminal civ on my own server I cannot tell you the times I have done this. Two, on the server when I brought a bit of realism into the server with pursuits "limiting the speed throught the metro area" to remind officers that your job is to protect and serve everyone, and not proceed 100 mph into the bloody city, chasing a criminal whose 100+...the training here was, three words, "use your resources".
