The reason Vehicle Search wasn't letting you search might be because in the latest version, I changed it so it now requires a more specific modifier such as LShiftKey instead of Shift.

Whenever you try to chase someone, melee usually allows you to lunge and close the distance between you and your target. It's super OP. You could've had that one guy several times if you simply hit the melee button, instead of waiting for him to get taken out by a Sanchez.

The main purpose for parking at an angle while on a traffic stop is for protection. Not only does it provide immediate cover/concealment, it helps prevent from being stuck if a vehicle decides to slam into your. It will push it into the road and not on top of you.
