I'm in stitches, lmao! But if I keep it up I'll be on a SLAB. Good afternoon, John, I hope you had a great weekend and that all is well! Just wanted to reach out to you and say that I personally thought you were one of the strongest although short-lived characters out of anyone on Sopranos. I'm actually from Winter Hill myself, I lived there for nearly 20 years (Tennyson and Medford Street, not far from the church). You have no idea how pumped I was when I found out you were from there too! I went to school with a Michael Fiore, not sure if you're related. I watched one of your interviews from two years ago and I could see how disappointed you were as you explained how David Chase had the Gigi character wrapped up, sealed, and closed. Gigi absolutely deserved better than that. You always had a very commanding presence both on Sopranos as well as Brotherhood. You'll never be forgotten from Sopranos. I consider Gigi one of the most significant minor characters in the entire series. I'm very well aware that there are mixed thoughts and feelings about how the series ended, but I fall under the camp that believes Tony dies in the final scene at Holsten's. I choose to believe this because I think that Patsy never truly let go of Gigi whacking Spoons. I think Patsy waited patiently for four years and waited to strike. But it all goes back to the killing of Spoons because that was the beginning of the end. Gigi served as a vehicle to the retaliation which results in the end of the best series ever made. My computer desktop background is actually that scene of you in the car with Spoons, both of you smiling (moments before disaster strikes, lol). However, this is of course all just speculation and my personal opinion. I hope you have an awesome week, John, and keep up the amazing work. Gigi has never gone unnoticed before, during, or after his abrupt end to the series.
