I was an eight year old little girl in Lancaster, England and it broke my heart when whoever or how ever they murdered him but the result couldn’t be changed he was gone I don’t know how but I knew he was special and nothing has changed my mind since. What Jon Jon could have achieved we will never know. I think that the powers that be would never permit us to know how much good Jack, Bobby and John Jr could do but the rest is an emptier history without them.

I have seen this panel discussion three times and I must say that I am impressed beyond words by the thoughtful, compassionate, knowledgeable comments of Andrew Young, which paint a far different picture of civil rights leaders attitudes toward John F. Kennedy than has been written in recent years. His point of view is more like the point of view that was expressed in the first 10 years or so after JFK died. I don't mean to imply that they are antiquated. Not at all, it is more that they are less dogmatic, more practical, more realistic. I hope Mr. Naftali interviews him for his book, which I look forward to reading. In fact, all the commentators were great and made wonderful contributions to this discussion.

Funny in fact, more than 50 years after his death, JFK still gives work to many people, librarians, writers, researchers, teachers, archivists, sound technician, cameramen etc. What would all those people have done with their lives if JFK was still in his rocking chair today, LHO simply have separated Marina and have joined the CIA or the mob, Bobby Kennedy have become the next president twice, after which the third brother would have taken over (a real dynasty and family business, with JFK Secretary of State and RFK Chief Justice again).... No Nixon, no Watergate etc. but a boring decade or two of good looking guys of Irish decent dominating politics 12 long years...

JFK was a great man ,undoubtedly the last independent president of USA. It's a shame that nowadays he is associated with the assassination more than his actions... For instance-in related videos- "A nation remembers- Nov 23 1963" . Let's rather mention his energy , wisdom and the fact that he was one of two presidents who started their own currency (non-federal-after 1913). The other was Lincoln (who was also assassinated) .This is not a coincidence. They both were representing the people and their rights ,which didn't suit the bankers' elite and the secret societies. Now,50 years after 1963 ,USA is no longer a free country. Freedom is only artificial. Thanks for the great video!

Nikola Lalev + Thanks for thought. Perhaps we are similar on that. I was just talking to some people about how we need to preserve and share the legacy of the 35th President. It is important to bring up the topics on politics about JFK and Honest Abe. I do have the sense that JFK was the last President of a Free Country. Most probably what came after him seemed ugly like Vietnam, Watergate, Iran Contra and the American instalment and involvement at Middle East. Now we have ISIS. Looking back, especially when JFK took Office in Jan 1961, the world was way more dangerous due to the Cold War. People forgot that. Today the world is more diverse and integrated. JFK remarkable tackled the Cuban Missile Crisis with diplomacy. It was politics and usually politics are nasty. Nevertheless, he did validate his belief in the American University speech in June 1963. I have the entire speech on my phone and i listen it sometimes. I always tell people to remember JFK for what he had done not for what he could have done, had he lived. People call him overrated, but i disagree. I love reading about how he struggled with his medical conditions and yet put that smile on his face. That JFK charm. He taught me to endure life and perseverance. I keep a small model PT-109 on my desk to remind myself the dark days in Solomon Islands JFK endured.

It's almost like that assassinations committee were never discovered later to have reached their verdict based on a lie. It was later proved that there never was a 4th shot, in fact that whole recording from an open mic was proven to be from a different time than when the shots were fired. Today people would call the committee's report misinformation or disinformation. Later when it was discovered to be a farce people would say, "that's hate speech." Long live the grassy knollers. May they never let facts spoil their conspiracy.

@William Murray THEY, with their twisted minds like to leave clues.... Take the Warren Commission for example, the crime exhibit number of the ‘single bullet’... that says it all to me (up to now I don’t know anyone who has made reference to this) And of course the actual date that the crime of the century took place. The world would NOT be experiencing what is happening right now if Kennedy had not been murdered. The CIA had to part of the coverup. The centre of it though is within a very, very dark circle.
