Doesn’t matter if she is a “professional”, a lot of musicians and film actors/actresses have severe limitations on what they can do. As an example on the movie side of things, there is a reason why Gary Oldman is so revered. He has genuine acting range as we saw with his roles as: Zorg in 5th Element , Sirius Black, Commissioner Gordon, Norman in Leon, Jackson in Slow Horses. Can literally roll off even more. On the music side, it is mostly accepted that Lorde is limited when it comes to her vocals and tone, but makes up for it with her overall performance and music style.
