Where is Gremin aria from Eugene Onegin ? Where is Le vaue d'or from Faust ?

I have this CD. That sounds more like Pasero than rather than De Angelis, It's the caprino. Not pleasant. I used to sing this aria at the opera bars in San Francisco and at auditions. But I interpolated a Low C at the end. Journet sounds like he's rushed to get it all on the fast spinning 78. The best version of the aria was probably Christof.

It's definitly De Angelis! much more intense artistic temperament than Pasero (whom I love for other qualities). For once a bass that in the best sence rivals soprano and tenor as a Diva!

I tend to agree with Agorante on this occasion. Too fast and bottom notes not very good. There are several much better versions on utube.

La peor versión que he escuchado de "Ella giammai m'amo". Una voz sin profundidad y muy débil en las notas graves. Muy rápida para mi gusto.
