Meeeeeeeeeh, I kinda like receiving a bit more, depends on the gratitude I receive when giving, because ultimately, giving, is taking. HonestIy I prefer creating, not getting, not giving, just creating. Nothing is taken, nothing is given, nothing is received, it just *becomes* (:

The rippled ebonite is lovely and should have that warm feel that this material gives. The Fountain Pen Revolution extra fine- ultra flex nib functions really well both for normal writing and for variegated flex writing. The ebonite feed helps it keep up. True, it’s not a vintage flex pen with a wet noodle gold nib, but it’s within financial reach of almost anyone who wants to experience the fun of flex writing. Thanks for reviewing this great pen. Fountain Pen Revolution really stands behind their products too.

Thank you James. I really enjoy your honest reviews of fountain pens. I've always wanted to try a flex nib, but it is difficult to choose one to start with because of all the differing opinions out there. Your review is very helpful and the comparison to the Kanwrite as well.

Very much enjoyed your excellent review of these pens with flex nibs. I use flex nibs every day as I enjoy the appearance which reminds me of our ancestors who accomplished so much while writing, mailing and dealing with weighty matters. It looks like these pens do a lot for those who like this style of writing at a reasonable price point. All the best as I will continue to follow your excellent videos.

Thank so much for showcasing these pens. it is a great reminder of FPR's flex pens which I have had my eye on for a while. The FPR flex nibs are quite highly regarded and one of these pens would be a huge upgrade to my Noodler's Ahab, so here's hoping. Very impressive flex for the price point! We really appreciate you, James 🖖

I’ve got 3 of the Himalaya V2 and 2 of the Himalaya V1. My Himalaya V1 have the ultra flex nibs. I really like all of them. I also have a couple of the Jaipur V2 pens which were well worth the money. I really enjoy the feel of ebonite way more than the feel of acrylic. Ebonite warms quickly in the hand and isn’t slick feeling. Great review. I agree with you 100% on your assessment of the pen and the nibs.

I have acquired a few FPR pens myself. I have the Ashoka in both Acrylic and Ebonite as well as the Jaipur V2 in ebonite and the budget friendly Darjeeling and Guru. FPR makes some pretty nice nibs. Their medium is a nice everyday writer. The standard flex is a good nib if you like some line variation but don't want to take the jump into heavy flex. The Extra Fine Ultra Flex is a very flexy nib that really puts down the ink. Their 1.0mm stub nib is a pretty nice writer. They all do have a tendency to be on the wetter side.

Thanks for the review and comparison of the flex afforded by the FPR nib vs the Kanwrite. Side note: I have a Kanwrite fountain pen with a steel BB (double Broad) Stub nib that writes really well-no flex but it lays down a nice line.

Lovely pens James! Man, I like them both and I love a good flex nib. I like the red and black and I don’t have any ebonite pens. But that chatoyance in the black is brilliant! Love the Proverbs verse at the end. ❤
